Fans at Rogers Arena booed the U.S. anthem a day after President Trump signed an executive order imposing tariffs on Canada.
The boos began as soon as anthem singer Agasha Mutesasira began singing the anthem prior to puck drop between the Detroit Red Wings and Vancouver Canucks. It continued throughout the song — at times louder than others — and didn’t abate until near the end, when it appeared fans were applauding the singer, not the song.

As a United States citizen and voter who did not vote for Trump, but for Kamala Harris, I am sickened by Trump's move to slap tariffs on Canada.
I don't know what to say. This video has to do with Canada, and I feel compelled to apologize to Canadians for this unjust action.

So they are okay that drugs come into the U.S. from across their border and kills U.S. citizens. They are also okay with the human trafficking across the border. It's not just the tariffs. Trump has openly said on multiple occasions that the US should annex Canada and make it the 51st state. Whether he's serious or not, that's an outrageous demonstration of disrespect to one of our oldest and closest allies. If a foreign leader talked that way about America you better believe we'd do a lot worse than boo his anthem.
