  1. I've heard a good argument for either: only the skates have to be out of the zone, or the goalie can retrieve the puck outside of the zone then be allowed to carry it in if they choose.

  2. It seems to me like the puck was on the line when he touched it. Does the line count as outside?

  3. Weird that this is a full 2-minutes. Seems like this should be assesed like an icing or offsides. Its a easy mistake, the advantage is gone if you just give them a faceoff in their zone

  4. I’m a lifelong Sabres fan. I rolled my eyes here, I mean… his skates are still in, guys.

  5. Get rid of the trapezoid and penalize goalies properly. Penalize goalies like Markstrom and Samsonov and others for thinking thay have better puck handling skills than they actually have with their eventual flub and the opponent scoring on an empty net. Or if you want other logic, a goalie with the skill to play the puck in the corner is no different than a player that's capable of scoring with a Michigan or emulate Datsuyk.
