  1. Damn… also can the coach stop juggling the lines, I have no clue who was on the 2nd 3rd and 4th line this game. Hate seeing goalies stand on their head against the oilers yet the oilers always give up a dud.

  2. Perry has been better than expected. I was one of those critical ones. Credit due

  3. 7am to listen to Chris “did you see that “ Cuthbert rather than Jack. BS. Skinner was not a Stanley Cup goalie tonight. No Eckholm a big difference. Penalties a joke as well as non calls but that is to be expected. J. Skinner can’t buy a goal with so many chances. News flash 97 is passing to 29. Other teams are prepared. Pack this one up and try again against the Blues. Hopefully awake

  4. Hey Patrick Buddy So Glad I got to meet u at Safeway Today it was a honor to talk to a Humble Youtuber like you makin Oilers Content putting a smile on my face, even though tonight's game wasn't our way to make a strong performance but I liked our comeback effort still wished we got a point or extra to take it to OT. Anyways movin on to Tuesday's game against St Louis & Wednesday against Chicago & lastly back at home against Colorado before the 2 week 4 Nations Break. Hope u have a wondeful night my friend & see u next time 😉

  5. Man thanks for saying that about skinner. First three goals the defense need to clean up the front of the net

  6. Oilers better pull their socks up , they need help in the defensive zone and Stu will not take them to a cup, thats a given, we need a multiple trade!

  7. Knobs does juggle the lines up too much , lines have no chance to make any chemistry especially before playoffs and they need to make a trade soon before playoffs to have time to tighten ship!

  8. Perry looked really good, again. Defense lapsed too much in the first, better in the 2nd & 3rd. Undisciplined with penalties. Time to start cementing the lines down so they can gel. Play Pickard more often.

  9. Tired of saying this, Skinner is NOT a #1 goalie. He’s lucky that he’s on a powerhouse team to inflate his stats. Trade this sieve and get a legit#1 goalie

  10. Why did knobs put 29 with 97 for the whole game its like he thinks the leafs are a one line team. That lack of experience/respect cost us tonight. We needed to dress the spine and compliment it with their solid wingers

  11. The 1st leaf goal was a defensive zone clearance which WE turned over and lead ta Toronto's 1st goal WE GOTTA DO BETTER WITH OUR D ZONE CLEARANCES it's costing us ALOT

  12. Sievenner in net once again.

Every goalie deals with imperfect defending. The good goalies, make those saves to bail out the team, when needed. The other goalies, like Stu, tend to give the opponents a 2 or 3 goal cushion, to light a fire under the team's rear.

I have no idea how people still think this guy is #1 material. None.

Does he have good games sometimes? Sure, most goalies do. His inconsistency, is diabolical, and it's going to kill them in the playoffs again this spring.

  13. I've noticed past many games J. Skinner is a puck hog. 3 on 1, he'll keep it for himself unless he's barracked with no chance, then passes. I won't miss his trade. Has anyone else noticed this?

  14. For some reason, I thought about Holloway and Broberg during the game. Not sure why. Just something about the way the game was going I guess. Holloway's speed and Broberg's defense would have sure helped. I miss them. They added so much to the team. Talent and youthful vigor. They haven't been replaced. Broberg would have helped fill the hole left by Ekholm's absence. Now, can someone help me with something? Was it my imagination or was Podkolzin given a few shifts off for some reason? Seemed like I saw less of him as the game went on. Maybe it was because Knobs was loading up with the big guys. That in itself is a bad sign. We need other people to step up and score some more. Cody Ceci traded to Dallas. Marcus Petterson to Vancouver. No way is Vancouver going for a rebuild. They'll be better. So will Dallas. So, we traded Ceci for cap space. Let Broberg go for more space too? We need to add on defense. Klingberg might add depth, but he's not the big shutdown right shot d-man we need. Or is adding a player like that just a dream? If we don't get better the Cup will be a dream too.

  15. Really getting tired of Skinner letting in goals on the first second or third shots. It happens again and again, putting the team in a hole they have to climb out of night after night.

  16. Hey Patrick well just got off work🍻 hmmm, they have to play 3 periods of hockey! Especially the first. We absolutely have to get Picard in a run of games to be able to prove he our real #1 way more acrobatics Skinner seems to be very mechanical almost like looking at a goalie book! They did make it interesting but they need 60 minutes of hockey out of the gate flying. Our goalie is our last line if defense. Thanks for your update Patrick 👍

  17. Those new D lines were disastrous – they seriously missed Ekholm tonight.

  18. Skinner is a big goalie but he has to be the worst goalie in the league tracking puts through traffic, garbage rebound control and his stick positioning is weak way too many five hole goals.

  19. Game 52. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments and observations at the end.

Still can't watch or listen to games while I wait for surgery.

Other than knowing a Draisaitl goal was disallowed I have no idea what happened in this game so I can't comment. My medical reality has been getting in the way of hockey but I still did the base stats. Hope you enjoy them.

    Take care all

  20. Knobbs is not as good of a coach as people think he is. He's still figuring it out. Also Oilers defense as is not good enough for the playoffs.

  21. Hi Patrick and all Oilers from Germany! German pay TV smashed loosing oilers out of their program, wtf is it!!!
After watching in the morning the highlights there is nothing to say what I hadn't said before! 0:3 after the first period isn't acceptable. Seems we do have a staff problem too. Mixing the lines, I do not understand!!! Defense working, I do not understand! Goalkeeping, no coming forward! What are they looking for?! Another lost, nothing works. Unbelievable in my eyes. I am really sad about the last games and about our target. We will not reach it in this form eventually… .
Cheers from a very sunny but cold Germany 🥶🥶
