  1. Wood-Drury-Colton line gave up 8 HD with 14 corsi. Wood looked a little lost and will improve over time. Not worried as it's a tiny sample size. Really like Drury's game.

  2. He fit in amazingly well under the circumstances and can't wait until this line pops off cause ya know it's coming…

Hopefully tomorrow against the Isles lol

  3. No-considering how they've struggled lately, the trade,& the questionable goalie interference & bs PP they gave them with 2.5 minutes…that wouldn't have been fun at all had NY scored on that last PP. And had we got nothing out of those 1st 2 games of the trip-id worry about it starting to snowball. Yes you can have fun games even in a loss but context definitely matters. And they just needed 2pts any way yesterday. And while 1-0 win would've been fine-this needed a game where they scored some damn goals. Not always true-& Id probably rather 1-0 at NYI where Blackwood has a great game next…losing that game on that bs wouldn't have been fun. Especially after outplaying both WPG- & Boston but only getting 1pt. I know there's a lot of games left but for you who think the playoffs are a foregone conclusion-they aren't. Calgary had climbed within 3 pts of us-with like 3 games in hand. Vancouver was back to like 6pts with 3 games in hand. And even St Louis & Utah are within striking distance. So it was important to reestablish a little order,& calm everybody's psyche-players,& fans-with a win, while Calgary lost in WPG. There are fun games in pro sports that you lose. But with a team expected to contend for a title those instances are much less often than say a rebuilding team like SJ,or Chicago. And yesterday definitely wouldn't have been 1 of those instances had they blown 2 goal leads twice,& not even got 1 pt on a made up penalty with 2.5 minutes left. AVS have had a few games recently where they had leads or were tied in the 3rd(Boston,Minny,Edmonton,,& I think Chicago same thing)-& not only didn't win-but didn't even get to OT,& get a point. In the NHL regular season I often think a "loss" is fun-or a "good or decent loss"when they lose in OT cuz it's not really a loss. The WPG- game wasn't a ton of fun but was great process,& pretty good result cuz they got a point while deserving better. But not too many regulation losses are a barrel of laughs-certainly not after a bad 3 game trip,so/so 5 game home stand,& game to start the trip where ya hold Boston to like 14 shots but don't even get to OT. And taken in context with the Mico trade-for many of us would've said yesterday was fun had NY scored on that late PP. We'd be saying is the team gonna go on an extended slide,& fall out of a playoff spot soon? Now tomorrow could be a decent loss(OT) 3 of 6 pts when you deserved better in Boston could be considered a decent trip. But they desperately needed 2 pts yesterday,& even 1pt would've been disappointing. I get what you are saying but this isn't a rebuilding team,& everybody doesn't get a ribbon or orange slices. Sometimes ya just need to find a way to get point(s,) however it happens. Yesterday was that kind of day to a tee.

  4. I can't wait to see an OT and Necas/Mac/Macar out there. You could tell by the post game comments from Mac, he was even blown away by his speed/handling skills. You know Mac is going to work extra hard with him in practice to build a chemistry. Those two passes on that goal in New York from Nate to Necas to Makar was dynamite! This Summer they should sign him to a 9M-6Yr extension. See what I did there.

  5. At the end of the day, we were LIKELY to go into next year losing Mikko with no return. we got a great special teams, strong center in Drury (family name we all know and love), we got Necas who could be a lot of things; used in a future trade, could pop into our system and become an amazing forward (I know he’s more wing than center, but he’s breaking out points, has a great face off %), and two DRAFT PICKS!
Theoretically, we are in the same position. Someone has to sign Mikko this off season. We also saved about 2mil in cap space for now.
This trade was great for us. Is Mikko the best player in the trade? Obviously. But wanting upwards of 14 mil, was paying him more than mackinnon wise? I doubt it.

  6. Just a fun little fact on how much faster the Avs just got. These are the most 22+ mph bursts this season from players:

    57 — Nathan Mackinnon

    48 — Connor McDavid

    33 — Martin Necas
The Avs have two of the three fastest now.

  7. Canes fan here. He is gonna be insanely good for you guys, especially considering he and MacKinnon are the fastest guys in the league. I think he will really like it there too. Take good care of our Nechy <3

  8. Brayden Point stole Drouin's thunder and fire somehow in TB. It was Drouin who was supposed to be playing like Point is and Point was supposed to be your 3rd line, 2nd line at best middle of the pack player. Basically, I'm saying I expected Drouin to be a lot better. He was so talented but I don't know why it's just not there for him.

  9. I thought you would show the two post pp. I'm really happy they showed all of it in replay in the broadcast. It was just so fun and dominating!

  10. Didn't even bring up those 3 posts Necas hit. He was ripping it. A few millimeters away from scoring. That was fun to watch.

Plus, it's fun to watch that to line skate and actually be making the passes. Hopefully, Drouin gets fully healed up during the break. Then, I don't know if anyone can stop them.

  11. Worst trade in Carolina hurricanes history, Necas for a ufa who wants 14 million is crazy, Avs fans are going to love watching Marty play, Necas will put up close too a 100 points next season, thanks brindamore at least Necas doesn't have to play with eric robertson as his linemate anymore

  12. We'll see how fun you think he is when he doesnt have a point in 17 games. This guy disappears for long stretches, especially in the playoffs

  13. I will put it here so i can see Necas doubters eat their words in a year. Necas is gonna be top 5 forward in league on avs.

  14. I didn't know you but these are great observations so subscribe.

I'm amazed even the best defenders can't really learn that enemy before our gate can't have a centimeter for playing and the defender plays a role of fan instead and look what will happen with the puck. (Sorry for using metric system, but guys, you are here to change 😄)
Sometimes I would love to try make a training for them. Not because I'm so confident, but I don't know where the f**k is the problem and I would like to solve it.
