Is this at Pipeline?
Hope they get some good swell at least 1 day. Then again all the Toledo fans are probably stoked he has a chance to win Pipe this year if itโs 4ft ๐
The commentators are just so annoying.
These commentators are brutal to listen to
Pipeline Beachey going orf
Thanks to Shane Dorian for verifying surf-metrics usability in terms of understanding forecast uncertainty. Enjoyed his (and Joe) deeper understanding of wave models than most. The ensemble approach is key as we're finding that right now's weather has traditional forecasts losing credibility beyond about 5-7 days. With that said, the models are crowding around two more very likely swells. The one next Tue-Wed will likely have finals. Sat has been very probable for days now with 7 ft surf about 66% likely. Next Tue-Wed 10 ft surf is about 66% probable. We just added about 60 more models and will have more refined probabilities in our Chance-of-Surf.
Guess Toledo doesnโt need to pull another stomach bug with these 1ft waves. What a flog!
LOVE the commentary team. Joey T. is a true pro. Kaipo coming in hot with new stats. Jesse has a high surf IQ and great English but PLEASE: learn to pronounce "th". We have taught countless latin speakers how. "All of dem", "Over der", "anudder score" etc. is unacceptable. Flick Is amazing but the overused fake laugh needs to go. Keep up the great work team!
I am really amazed on how our announcer "Jesse Mendez" is totally killing it on the mic…the last two years I think he was holding back…but now he's talking picture words, good job bro! .Kiapo and Joe are still the pillars on making the surf call…but Jesse, you got that seasoned eye and voice behind the mic…ok back to the Surfers! Cowabunga! yay!
Still haven't figured out how to hold the surf contest when the waves are good?
Ain't no conflict of interest if Jessi girl friend compete ๐
No contest today?๐ฎ
I wish there was a bigger swell for this event. Thank you for the live feed. I live in Olympia, WA. No waves. I'm a SoCal boy too.
WSl is getting worse and worse, can you imagine the only surf organization on the planet worth millions of dollars and the best they can do is a 3m long slack line and call it a park? Jeeeesssshhhh
Missing Gabriel Medina, yet excited about these rookies! They seem promising ๐ค
Jake Marshall has enough talent to win that world title just always seems to be in heats with shit waves
Can someone send me a link when the events on ๐ค๐ปโ๐ป
strider been punching sharks again
they should make the commentators paddle out at pipe before the contest starts some of them could surf it but a lot of them couldnโt
