The NHL needs to start suspending players that start scrums and delay the game after clean hits. They should probably also be issuing bench minors for delay of game as well.
Unpopular opinion but I think if someone initiates a fight after a clean hit he should also get a delay game penalty. I get that most of the times you dont know imediatley if the hit was clean or not and you want to stand up for your teammates but I feel like nowadays there are way to many players that just wait for a reason to get into a fight and it often hurts the flow of the game.

You can't leave your feet when checking in hockey. The worst hits in this video are when the checking player is leaving his feet and therefore these hits are illegal even though the commentators are saying they're clean.
Back in the day when a fight broke out they would throw punches.
Should be 10 and a game for jumping someone after a clean hit. Its ruining the game and the fights that ensue are mary slapfights most of the time anyways.

As a lifelong die hard hockey fanatic IMO retaliations after a completely legal/clean hit should automatically be a unsportsmanlike penalty! It makes no sense that a play stopping skirmish ensues EVERY time there's a big CLEAN hit. I hate that aspect of todays game, if you want to protect your stars make them learn to play with their heads up and send out your goons to stop them getting bullied every play lol

“you can’t put up a good hit anymore in the National Hockey League” the announcer cannot be any more correct. exactly why I stopped watching this league, is big clean hits got so much butt hurt outrage. It’s no longer a fun league to watch when it’s full of the biggest divas in sport
It doesn’t make sense to go after someone for just a big hit. Fight your teammate who served up the hit with a terrible pass

It used to be a contact sport in wich you knocked out an opponent with a CLEAN hit you got yourself a short PP until that punished down-looker got to the bench

On one side, if you make a clean big hit you shouldn't have to worry about others jumping you. On the other side, you can't also just stand by and watch as someone completely levels one of your teammates.
Something I noticed about the Trouba hit is not only does he lay a dirty hit like always, Nylander doesn't have the puck but notice that Malkin who CAN fight goes after Trouba and Trouba instead decides to cross-check Zucker for a fight, despite Zucker being inches shorter.
