Montreal Canadiens Lose in Fleury’s Finale | What are Refs Looking at? Mailbag: Guhle Replacements

The Montreal Canadiens lost their fourth straight game but oddly enough, that wasn’t the story on Thursday night. Marc-Andre Fleury played his last game in his home province, shutting out the Habs and bringing the fans to their feet. What impact does Fleury leave on the game in Quebec? Plus, another officiating rant! Should refs speak to the media after the game? And finally, we hit the mailbag to find more Kaiden Guhle replacements, talk about food, and time travel.

  1. Struble ran out of gas last year and he's a big boy so it's understandable and to be expected that Hutson would be struggling but they have also worked him out. Close him down and you get left in knots or give away a penalty, so they just defend who he's going to pass to and leave Hutson. Everyone has worked out he isn't a shot threat so just defend the pass. If they can coach some shot into the boy he will be unstoppable. You can also see they are finishing checks on him where they didn't before. We are not making the payoffs as soon as the pressure stepped up from no chance to win to stay with the pack it's fallen away. Not that I care, I was expecting picking 8-10 and still seen some great games this year.

  2. Bad takes on poutine guys cmon, according to your logic it means a pizza with mushrooms and green bell peppers is not a pizza coz its different than the original pizza…

  3. Flower's gotten the job done for a long time; not everybody who comes out of Quebec or even comes up accomplishes as much as he has. Besides, don't pay for entertainment; you pay for a chance to connect with people you care about.

most professional sports teams furnish ways for fans to follow team action for free, and that's sufficient for some people.
