Should they retool now?
It's definitely time to retool. I love Marchand, but if he wants to have another shot at the cup before retiring and favors a trade, do it. Who else would bring any value at all?
As for the goalies, we all knew what we were getting with Korp. But Swayman is the big let down.
He's allowed more goals than any goalie in the league.
When was the last time this team was a minus in the goal diff?
Regarding the PK, realize they are playing the same "system" but it looks so timid. Other teams power play units look completely comfortable, nobody is being attacked, it's just fade back and hope to block shots. It's frustrating to watch other teams firing away.
I see a lot of comments about "making the playoffs". Just remember, the only one who benefits from just barely making the playoffs is the Jacobs family. They make a ton of cash for every home playoff game. Fans lose 95% of the time. Unless you happen to be the LA Kings, winning the cup when you finish outside the top 4 in the conference, is harder than winning the 6/49 (Canadian lottery😂).
As always, finish 1 through 4 or finish last. Otherwise, you're harming the teams future and lining the greedy owners pockets.

Mcavoy is a great defensive defenceman , his offence is not that great, but he is being paid like he is some offensive powerhouse. Please trade him to somebody for some forwards who can score.
Advanced stats show their PP is better with Lohrei.
They spend in the top five for defnseman, but are in the bottom 10 for forwards.
It seems obvious how they can improve quickly.
I wouldn't trade Marchand because he can still score(unlike and of Sweeny's forward draft picks).
Without Mcavoy they can find defenseman as Sweeny has been successful at drafting defense and goalies but an absolute disaster when it comes to drafting forwards.
I am finished with this mediocre to trash team
Sell sell sell, fire Sweeney and see you next season

The only question now is what players can they get legit value in return for? I’d say Marchand and Frederic and possibly Lohrei could be center pieces with McLaughlin, Wotherspoon and Beecher as secondary parts that could help add up to 2nd or late 1st round picks.
I think you’re right about them keeping Swayman after having just signed him, same goes for Kastelic. Id liked for them to keep Geekie and Brazeau, but they could also fetch something on the market before going RFA

The rest of the team is just lost. I've never seen them this bad. I'd there a year since 1990 that they have been this bad overall…?
Everytime i hear about retool this and that i wonder if folks realize just how "handcuffed" the team is with alot of contracts at play it seems that prevent any kind of decent trade that wont end up gouging the chit outa the team in the end. IDK Love hockey soo much but do i wanna wait 2-3-4 seasons to see if this team under these owners actually pull it together? Perplexed i am.
😂😂😂 make the playoffs. I think there strong core is burning 🔥 at both ends. There is not enough fuel ⛽️ in the tank to put them into the playoffs. Maybe it’s better they don’t make the playoffs because an early slap in the face exit hurts a lot more, this team needs a wake-up call. 🇨🇦 I am.
they are not going to make the playoffs, and if they do it will be a first round bounce.
the defense is just bad, I am not a big fan or mcaovy or zadorov but they wont get rid of either of them.
I think it is time to move on from the whole coaching staff and bring a new set of coaches. The powerplay has been bad for years.
I think the fans got what they screamed about "we want the big bad bruins back" well that is what they got and here the team is now. they are slow, weak on the puck, turn overs are the norm, and penalties galore.
Neely and Sweeney are not going any where no matter how much the fans scream for their heads.
ANYthing can happen at this point. We should get to the dance every opportunity we can.
Ending the season early is only going to start next season with humiliation.
I'm just going to ride out the season, enjoy the wins, and progress out of the young guys, because there's always next season!

We need to have an incredibly strong Scouting Staff, starting now!
In addition to a retool, they need to overhaul their coaching staff. Only goalie Bob should be safe. You cannot be this bad on special teams, breakouts, zone entries and discipline, and not have consequences. They need fresh voices and an overhaul of talent.
Problem #1……AHL defense……
They need multiple win streaks which they obviously can not do…RETOOL!!!!
If you’ve been watching this team from the beginning you have to come to the conclusion it’s time to SELL – Re- Tool. Feel bad for the fans who $$ for tickets. This years team is not playoff worthy.

Too many mistakes not just that 1
The team is constructed by a delusional Cam Neely pulling all the strings. He thinks the NHL is stuck in the 1980s/90s. He doesn't understand the difference between Big/Slowfooted vs. compact / fleet footed / high energy (think Bennett, Tkachuk, etc).
The roster construction is abysmal. The scouting is abysmal. Elias Lindholm is making 7.75 million and even with the cap going way up, will still be one of the worst contracts in the league unless he can drastically turn it around and get his confidence back. He looks so timid.
The only players the Bruins should build around are Pasta, McAvoy, Swayman, Poitras, and Lohrei. Unfortunately there are a lot of NMC (including Zadorov and E Lindholm, LOL). But everyone else should be moved for picks. We just saw Marcus Pettersson retrieve a 1st rounder…
