Ashlyn Sullivan and Al Morganti are back and were going to recap a Flyers team that got beat handedly by the Islanders at home…but their attention was taken away by an in-game trade. They react to Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost being traded and also address some more Michkov drama.

We gave up on 2 young high draft picks because they haven't developed quick enough to the coach's liking ? Always the fault of the players, right ? Maybe the coaches & developers aren't as good as what the organization think. Anyway, we dumped Frost, Farabee, & their salaries. Took on 2 more under-achievers on expiring contracts, unlikely to be any more than 1/2 season rentals & not re-sign here. Plus a 2nd round pick in 2025 ( OK, maybe something good will come from that) & a 7th round pick in 2028 ( who knows ? ). Calgary got the better of the trade. Things will get worse this year, & probably the next couple as well. The official tanking has begun.
Trade happened on the day Comcast stock dropped 12% and has been tanking for years.
They basically couldn't afford to pay frost and farabee so they traded them for a small French kid who apparently plays good defence unlike farabee and frost
They'll trade Ersson, Sanheim, and Drysdale at the deadline for more russians. See a trend here? Fedotov is already the #1 . Tortorella will be fired at the end of the year. Watch them draft russians and quebers in the draft
They can either .. reboot this whole team for the next 15 years with these 7 picks in rounds 1 n 2
Or you use some and grab a stud with the cap space they will have opened up in 25' n 26'
Flyers still have two huge contracts, for Couts and Sanheim, that probably make them both untradeable. Couts is making $7.75 million for 5 more years!!! And Sanheim is making $6.25 million for the same term. And Michkov has no defensive ability whatsoever. Has he won any board battles or caused a single turnover all year long? How do you get him to challenge for puck possession? Frustrating as a fan and don't see how they get out of this mediocrity.
I'm honestly at the point it's getting painful to be a fan of this team…over and over it's the same crap that doesn't work…at least now the so called "retool" crap seems to finally be done with and the rebuild, that should have started years ago, will finally start….they need to be very careful how they go about this because it's almost certain Michkov ain't gonna hang around after the ELC expires just to play for a crap team that has no chance of winning…why would he want to?…I wouldn't…they should have waited to bring him in, started the rebuild last off-season and in two years bring him in with at least a chance of being a winning team before his ELC expires….this team has potential with it's youth and once Sam gets full starter experience and stamina I'm sure he's gonna be a decent netminder but they need a decent scorer and that's always been lacking since G was in his prime…over paying for veterans over the hill clearly hasn't worked…they need to pay the ticket to bring in a quality scorer and at least have a consistent 70-80 point guy again…TK is a great offensive player but he's not that number 1 guy and plays better when that kind of pressure isn't suffocating him…this team is sadly just a mess at this point and it really F-ing sucks to know it's gonna be years before watching this team isn't tough to do anymore because they wanted to push this damn rebuild for no reason
I'm looking forward to Michkov being a solid two way player who averages 45 points a season.
like so many others I sure thought Frost would be special. We were wrong. I don't know was it the coaching was it his thought process the kids got skill it certainly didn't develop the way I'm sure everyone hoped
The Flyers continue on the road to being completely irrelevant in Philly. A boring team filled with nothing but Joe Bag'O Donuts.
How much could you get selling your Michov picture frame on the market?
so… a soft pile of poop just got softer 😂
seems like everybody sucks in Phily
Michkov is slow. Not impressed.
Poor trade, Danny should have held firm and gotten one of the Flames 1st round picks. Not impressed
Now since we are now sellers, and rebuilding, let’s hope Risto, Seeler, Laughton can also be traded for at least 2 future first round picks.
Every year same old shit with Flyers. Front office needs to go from the top to bottom.
is her head always tilted? i just noticed this
They scored, that call was a joke
Got two more guys on the smaller size. Ok that will help
Let's wait and see. Husk is one hell of a coach and Torts is a guy that has had issues with players in the past. The Flames were to be a bottom five team and are still in a playoff hunt. That has not been because of stars, it's been team, and hard work. Two guys coming in with something to prove. That it wasn't them it was coaching? They may just explode. The next ten games? I would say by mid point next season everyone will have a better idea of why things fell off the tracks.
Getting Farabee off the roster is a massive upgrade. Kid seems very nice/ likable. But he dragged every single line he was on down. Ever since that neck injury he played like a guy who was terrified of contact/ didn’t want to get hit. Loving the flexibility the flyers have coming up
Friggin rangers jersey
Baby ur still gorgeous
Wrong question… under this coach whose game/performance has improved? None!
Guess what Al, the team stinks so who gives a rats ass if they all get along.
This aint a damn charity, its a professional team.
Yo Al, what's up w the Rangers jersey? Booooooooooo
Neither Farabee nor Frost would ever get a fair chance with Torts.
The Flyers are doomed by their mediocrity. They will inevitably go on a three-week win streak in April that will take them from a top-5 pick to a pick in the 11-15 range. They desperately need high-end talent, not middle-six forwards or 3rd-pair d-men, quality not quantity.
