They need to get Tarasenko going. If he can start producing more offense it would take some of the pressure off the top guys. The team showed a great effort staying with the game and coming back to win.
Tarasenko is paid way too much (4.75 mil/season) to be non-productive. No goals, no assists & 2 penalty minutes this game. YTD 6 goals & 14 assists after 49 games. If he hasn't adapted by now, under either coach, he never will & the Wings are stuck with him. Why they brought him in is difficult to comprehend because his production had dropped years ago. He has had one decent season in the past five.
So good to have an experienced NHL coach instead of the AHL or assistant "up and comers" we've had behind the bench the last 10 years. From Blashill to Lalonde, we haven't had an experienced bench boss in a long time. What a difference it makes.
