Thanks for the great video josh!
Alright, then sign Evans, 4 years! 3,75m
Josh, my man: REALITY…Habs are in the 6 th wild card spot, 4 points out; barring some J C like Resurrection–Pezz gets a hat trick, next game…no way Joe Say !
Making me feel better about Slafkovsky's contract 😅
Players don't have to clear waivers when called up from the AHL to the NHL. It is only when sent down. RHP didn't have to clear this time because he hasn't been in the NHL for 20 days or 10 games since his last clearing. Thus, they can call him up tomorrow or Sunday to save a day.
What's coming back in return for Armia 🤔 don't say draft picks or I'll Block your channel 😅 jk Habs are in the mix. They are like 4 pts behind Colombus and your ready to help them 🤦
Trading Armia would send the wrong message. They would be better off keeping their Free agents accept Dvorak if they can get rid of him for a bag of pucks.
Habs need more size and toughness. Armia and 1M$ to Blue Jackets for Olivier. Xhekaj needs some support! NHL fighting not a big part as in past…BS! I’m sure the sheriff, often feels like the Maytag lonely repairman.
Olivier, speaks French, has power forward size so he and Arber would make a great 1-2- punch literally. You can never have too much GRIT!
Great video guys, I'm trying to be just like you!
It's a real race to the four nations cup, they look tired, and young players always have a hard time adjusting to the grind of 82 games, don't think Hutson has ever played more than 40 games in a year.
Also want to add that 4.26M is freed up this summer due to buyout contracts, and Prices 10.5M is up at the end of 2025-26, Habs currently have 14.76M extra on top of the 25M increase. Going to be a FANTASTIC next few years Josh my Man
The cap news is excellent. We have a lot of our best signed to reasonable deals under the current cap structure.
In 3 years, it will be like having Caufield, Slaf, and Suzuki to 5.5M deals and Guhle to 3.5M deal. We'll have a LOT of room to add top-tier talent.
Mailloux simply can't skate at the NHL level. His lack of acceleration is apparent playing for Laval. He floundered in his call up to the Canadiens earlier this season,. I have often posted that Mailloux's future in the NHL is as a forward. Nothing that I have seen so far has changed my opinion.
With the cap going up it could make sense to trade for Elias Petterson even with having to eventually sign super stars like Demidov and Hutson?
We suck…
Suzuki, Caufield, etc doubling their salaries? Maybe they will be able to keep up with inflation but I doubt it. Me? I'm about to claim bankruptcy! Yay. FML
Demidov-Rantanen could be a dynamic duo. hehehe
RHP is simply not an NHL caliber player, a tweener at best going up and down between leagues.
zeroooo chance we sign rantanen lol. we dont need anymore wingers
Salary cap up, yaaaa,
REALY??
Cost of game tickets going up again.
I ain’t buying 150$ ticket,175$
RHP is simply not an NHL caliber player, a tweener at best going up and down between leagues.
I guess the other NHL teams aren’t seeing their cap go up???? MTL is going to be competing with the rest of the league for free agents with the same old problems, language, media, taxes…. Nothing has changed. So this excitement is for the no knowledge bozos who have no clue what’s going on around the league.
Seems like it was the Montreal Canadiens that got hit by a car 😂
Your comment about todays best paid Habs being paid the same or slipping behind newly signed players due to an increased cap might breed some discontent and may lead to reopening some existing contracts to ensure the best legacy players like Suzuki are compensated accordingly. I'm still of the the opinion the NHL should adopt a higher salary caps for Canadian teams to adjust for the difference in the currency exchange. Bettman hates Canadian teams and would never consider such a proposal but its the only logical way to address the disparity of paying out USD but earning CAD. Thanks Josh.
4 losses, 4 scoreless games for Hutson, he has not been as dynamic, maybe tiring
Well to be fair all teams have lots of cap room coming up so not sure the best players will reach UFAs
I'm wondering if the NHL is considering the trade war that is about to go on between Canada and the USA? Not to talk politics, but this trade war could potentially collapse both economies…and this would greatly affect the NHL no matter what.
Increasing the cap that much hurts the league Players don’t play any better they just demand and get more is all. Then ticket prices etc go up ridiculous for fans
How does the Avs fans must feel right now after letting Rantanen go. 🥶
Great to have cap space. Another thing to attract free agents and sign them. A ton of players can get similar deals in other markets because several teams will also have just as much cap space as Habs.
I'm watching Dobes closely. Even in his loss he looked pretty good so I can't really say he's had a bad game yet. It will be interesting to see how he'll play when he gets more starts.
I'm worried the habs won't address defense at all, because no goalie can survive bad defense. I don't see a real defensive leader on D. Someone to hold guys accountable
Curious about something. Increasing the cap by 20-25m… but how many teams can actually afford to pay these paycheck increases? I literally have no clue, but from what i understand, the bottom half of the league (in terms of revenue) struggle to sell tickets, so can those teams afford this new increase?
Personally, I really do not want to see have anything to do with the Columbus Bluejackets or Don Waddel at the moment over the game down there before Xmas. Personally, I would not trade Evans….the Habs have been giving away or let get away too many good defensive forwards….particularly Danault and Lehkonen. If you want to build a championship team, you need good defensive forwards.
Arnia to Columbus lol 😂 absolutely not !!!!
