The New York Rangers have been wanting to make a big trade for a while now and with the Canucks looking to make away from JT Miller it made sense for both teams to find a possible deal. Rangers end up trading away Filip Chytil as the big piece in this deal.

The East-West playing style of the Rangers will drive JT Miller crazy! This is just an accident waiting to happen. Meanwhile, I will be cheering for Fil in Vancouver. Mancini is the dark horse in this trade as he is a puck-mover with good size and skating ability. In conclusion, I anxiously await the news of a Drury firing!
Hate to see Chytil go. I really think he's been an important piece of this team.
Bad trade
While I'm not exactly thrilled by the trade. It honestly could've been a lot worse. While Chytil has been good all season for the Rangers, he is one hit away from missing the whole season or possibly, ending his career. For basically JT Miller. That is an upgrade, even if I don't like the move. JT can play more physical hockey, were Chytil can't due to his concussion history. He's actually given himself a concussion before, due to the backlash from the impact of "His" own hit. Losing the first round pick and Mancini hurts but we aren't going to really know who won this trade for another few years.
So now Miller and Zibanejad will have problematic relationship similar to Miller and Pettersson… Hopefully we make Miller a captain. Sucks to see Mancini and 1st rounder go.

Terrible trade for the Rangers. They trade away two critical pieces from the rebuild in Chytl and Mancini…and a 1st round pick!? I hated to see Miller leave in 2018, but I would have rather kept Chytl and Mancini. The achilles heal on this team remains unaddressed…Mika, K Miller, Kreider. Bad trade.

JT is one of the best power forwards in the league….. as much as I like Chytil, he’s unfortunately injury prone. The Rangers won the president’s trophy last season with him only playing the first ten games of the season, and this season he’s been out with upper body injuries twice. I really don’t like Mancini being in the deal, I was hoping it would have been K Miller or Lindgren going. Now the Rangers have to make another roster move because they now have two extra forwards and two extra defensemen. So someone else is either getting traded or waived unless they send Rempe down, but that would be stupid.
This is good for the rangers . 8 hate hearing people cry about draft picks . I understand not all the best players go 1 or 2 but come on it's a gamble and to get a top 25 player is a no brainer. I love filip but he's 1 hit away from being done unfortunately. I am slightly biased because I've always been a jt fan but to me this was a win for ny
Why did Rangers get Erik Brannstrom? He was available on waivers and is a similar player to Zac Jones, whom they are trying to trade. Makes no sense.
Not to be too poo poo but if you compare this trade to the carolina deal they just made its not so great , but we will see chtyl was a ticking time bomb health wise mancini will be a decent player losing the first sucks.
Ny fans youll love JT he's a beast and built for the playoffs. Chytil i like but as a Canuck fan im worried about his health. Hope it helps both teams.

Hreat trade actually. Chytil is way too soft and injury prone and jt miller is a tough dude that plays hard and doesn’t miss time.

Hate losing Mancini
Solid trade. Not thrilled to see Fil & Mancini go, as we are now ultra thin on prospects/young talent, but I could see both sides benefitting from this. Really wish it was Zibanejad going instead of Chytil though
Drury got his next Captain, and the veteran leader we need…Other moves will be made, dead weight will be cut loose, and we'll keep the 1st Rounder this year…maybe add another to it. This is a team culture change move, and a damn good one…Mancini was never going to have a spot with the logjam of right shots.
Been long over do ta trade Philip Chytl good kid never got really comfortable here or lived up to his potential and always hurt , availability is really the best ability !
And JT Miller second time around with now a wealth of experience hopefully got something left in tank to bring us there 🏆!
Now, they need to get rid of Miller, get a shutdown Dman, and a legitimate sniper. Then, we'll be ready to make a run.
