  1. I know Bill will miss talking about Morgan Frost, so I'm sure we expect Frost/Flames updates on a regular basis šŸ˜‰

  2. If Flyers owner Ed Snider had still be alive, he would have canned President Keith Jones and GM Daniel Briere for getting the team to cap hell.

  3. If the Fyers sign Elias Pettersson, Tortorella would promptly bench him for some kind of obscure re-educational purpose.

  4. Torts is going to hate both these guys personalities. Prepare to be surprised with some raw talent.

  5. Farabee is so bad.. I worry the tank year might not work out as well because he’s not on the team anymore. Getting off his contract was the entire purpose of the trade. Good move Danny

  6. Now trade that bum Laughton. Oh wait, he’s a nice locker room guy on a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in 5 years

  7. It’s quite possible this team will not win a Stanley Cup in my lifetime. Garbage out and garbage in. Can’t wait for the second round pick to be a ā€œreal stealā€ because we all know the Flyers scouting department has been great at unearthing gems and we got a quad A player! A real bonus. Look we just got Luchanko who’s going to be a Ryan Poehling 2.0 and Bonk the second pair defensemen. Maybe we can as Danny B said be the St. Louis Blues and catch lightning in a bottle. Good times, definitely a lot to be excited for.

  8. So glad farabee is gone… he never finishes can’t tell you how many breakaways I’ve seen not end in a goal

  9. Calgary strengthened their chances to earn a wild card berth and they received two quality players in Frost and Farabee but Briere is looking in the long term with several draft picks in the first two rounds plus freeing up more cap space for the future to add in free agency. I’ll miss Farabee but long term this was the right thing to do because both players reached their shelf in Philly.

  10. Philly Joel be missed. A big Phillies and Eagles fan. His father is from the Philly Suburbs before moving to the Finger Lakes region of NY state.

  11. Well we have torpedoed our center depth even further, but it was a trade that had to be done. How bad has Krebs must be in Torts eyes if we couldn’t take a flier on him.

  12. We were bad to middle of the pack! For what? To barely miss the playoffs? Good move Danny Boy

  13. Gonna miss Joel but he was expendable being that hes a winger. Frost imo wasn't a Torts guy maybe in a different system he'll be better.

  14. So how many more years of this are we going to have to suffer through to be a contender again? I feel like we are just throwing away good years of some of these younger guys.

  15. Briere is a bum. Flyer's are paying players that are not even playing. They haven't made one decent trade since Briere is in management. At the end of the draft, we'll see who they will select. It gonna be another joke. Kids in the minors??? Who??? They have bums.

  16. Wrong! kuzmenko is going to make michkov better. They will make playoffs. Trade shook them up.. no goals in 2 games.. anyway we will see. They are on their winning way

  17. Particularly in the last three weeks, I have wondered what the trade value would be across the league for #48.
Not entirely disappointed in the answer and return.

  18. my question now is, which one if not both is gonna become an all star player now that theyve left the flyers. its happened too many times

  19. Cautionary tale Flyer fans…the Flames drafted their stud goalie of the future Dustin Wolf in the 7th round….just saying you never know…

  20. I don't understand why everyone is trying to get rid of Risto, he's been our best dman the past 6 weeks, we need the size we need the physicality in lo and behold we started to score some Power Play Goals, I guarantee if we get rid of him we're going to be saying we should have kept him in a season or two

  21. Imagine if that second round pick turns out to be the 1C weve been looking for and we dont have to pay big money for one, imo we picked up some more bullets

  22. Definitely feels like the kind of trade you look back on in 3 years and wonder what the hell they were thinking.

  23. I'm usually on the same page as BIll on how he'd approach the rebuild, but I totally disagree on Farabee. I don't understand how people are so willing to treat him like the player he was this year and completely ignore the elite offensive creation he's shown for long stretches of his career. I get there's uncertainty about him, but they sold very low on him, for very little discernible reason. 6 months from now he's pretty likely to have more value than he does now. What's was the point of including him?

  24. I have zero doubt that Frost and Farabee will go onto shining careers in Calgary. And that it would also never happen here. I've seen it enough.

  25. To be honest, the biggest positive I'm getting from the trade is Denver is going to get to where 86 when he gets into the big leagues. Lol

  26. So we got a player who was on waivers earlier in the season and another that was about to be waived. Shows how much Frost and Farabee are worth.
    Keep selling Flyers, keep selling

  27. Sadly, the best player in this trade is Brayden Schenn. I’m an optimist, but I was hoping for better. Perfectly fine with Frost being gone – not so much Farabee.

  28. Pelts is an incredible guy. He will bring the locker room together. Also let me clarify something. Pelts in the AHL was a beauty top scorer. Unfortunately he got really hurt by Trouba. He needed surgery and it was a long recovery. Pelts is a year behind in his development. The true pelts will show next season. Be patient with him, he is recovering. I am willing to bet that he is a 20+ GPS. You will be happy

  29. I wouldn't say its even a B but really you have 4 players who are restarting so if Kuzmenko finally hits and Pelletier is better than expected…fantastic but same for the Flames both of the players they got have upside with the new team. I could be a win win.

  30. So the Flyers traded two former first round picks for a possible 3rd or 4th line Left Wing and a 2nd round pick? More validation that Hextall DOSNT belong in the NHL doing anything besides cleaning toilets! This was a lousy trade for Briere!

  31. Flames & Leafs Original Six Fan Born & Grazed In Calgary Here Chiming In On The Trade
2nd Round Draft Pick For Torts To Find A Stud Will Not Make Him Any Less Grumpy However. šŸ™‚
I Like The Trade For Calgary Immensely, Flames Get More Size, Scoring & Physicality & Philly Takes A Flyer On Two Very Talented Hockey Players That Are However Small & Not Physical, They Are Not Prototypical Broad Street Bullies, Just Sayin.
That Said Of Late Both Of Them Were Playing Less Timid & Going To The Puck Without Hesitation But Maybe They Saw The Writing On The Wall So Were Working Harder To Avoid A Trade.
Also The Timing Of This Is Perfect For Both Teams To Do So.
Congratulations & Good Luck To All.

  32. SIMPLE FIX…..FIRE TORTORELLA….HE IS THE PROBLEM…HE'S A WASHED UP HAS-BEEN…DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY YOUNG PLAYERS THIS MORON HAS RUINED…šŸ’©šŸ’©
