OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montréal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils.. The Devils win this game by a score of 4-3 in OT. and alot of fans are very angry with Mike Matheson right now lets break this one down..

The team is tired. Look at who they played in the last month and a half and how often. I think that they are effin' brilliant despite that. Plane breakdowns on the regular…A little rest during the 4 nations cup will do 1 of 2 things. Rest them and they will continue as normal or rest everyone else more…if you know what I mean? Please appreciate and do NOT critisize. We are building another dynasty here.

I was there at the Bell Center last night, and disappointed we didn't win but at least we got a point and a few rounds of the good ol' wave going around before OT. And Slaf got the 2nd star and 2 points in front of his family

I keep getting notifications for news articles about Marty St Louis giving the team a rest day, especially after travel. I'm not a NHL coach, but i have to wonder if maybe we should be practicing a little bit more

Jesus we are the youngest team in the league the boys are not use to this type of schedule. No excuses but until the boys become men there will be games like this.
This team is not ready for the playoffs, far to inconsistent and still taking nights off. All the big minutes may be getting to Hutson, he has looked pretty ordinary the last few games. It would nice if Reinbacher could soon go to Laval….and bring up Mailluex to the Habs. May have Heineman back soon.
If Hughes wants to do anything for this year he should move soon, real shame they missed on Kakko.
Next year is going to be all sunshine,rainbows and lollipops. Hopefully DemiGod will be the phenome and will have no problem transitioning to the NHL and HuGo will find us the rough and tumble vet who knows what it takes to win the show!😊
The blame game for every lose is off the charts. The result of a lose should not be put on one or two guys or a soft goal and a numb play. The team should be able to cover for the goofiness that is bound to happen. At the very least respond the next shift immediately with a goal pressure in their zone and a huge hit or 5! Just make them regret that goal.😊

Yeah, let's not forget where we were 15 games ago. Or what the expectations were at the end of last season. Everybody was hoping Montreal would at least be a serious competitor for the playoffs this season. We got our wish. Let's enjoy it and, who knows, they may even make it through, but that was never the goal yet. The names on the team are slowly stabilizing, so expect good things next season.

80% d'entre vous ont jamais vu les canadiens gagner la coupe Stanley et le Canadien gagnera jamais la coupe sans avoir un minimum de 8 a 10 Québécois dans l'équipe, se sont les seules qui veulent la 25e et non le millionnaires a 8 millions qui est fatiguée apres 50 match et a hâte de jouer au golf au printemps et qui s'en fout qu'ils soient a Montréal ou a chicago ou San jose, allé regarder les coupe Stanley depuis 50s et vous allez comprendre que sans les Québécois, il aurait pas 24 coupes Stanley mais 5 ou 6 😂

Devils fan here. I drove 7 hours to Montréal to see this game, and when Centre Bell played Bon Jovi before OT I knew we would win. Idk who decided it would be a good idea to play a Jersey anthem, but hey, we’ll take it!
I’m with you I blame everyone. PPs gone to shit passing is sloppy shooting is pretty bad mostly defense around the crease is dropping off.

I'm not blaming Matheson on that OT goal. Laine should have made a better pass and or not thrown it to an area where 2 Devils were. Plus, talk about a blatant no call on the interference! The trailing Devil clearly shoulder checks to see where Matheson was, then drifts in front of him. That should have been a penalty for sure. Big time missed call.
