No Peterka or Byrum in the trade.
Do we know for sure that JT Miller has Buffalo on his no trade list ? IF not and he 'd accept a trade to Buffalo then I would rather trade for him over Pettersson who to me seems SOFT& UNMOTIVATED not to mention his SCARY ASS contract 11million until 2032.
Also if you trade a Byram or Power and dont get a D man coming back in the deal you are opening a MASSIVE HOLE on your D . God help us if Henri the Finnish pylon Jokiharju is put on the first D pair with Dahlin.
I doubt Vancouver would take Norris in a deal because of his injury history.
Any word on why Adams didnt claim Saad ? Yes he has a cap hit of 4.5 million next season( say goodbye to the injury prone Greenway plus the cap is going up ) but this team desperately needs VETERAN LEADERSHIP and Saad who has won 2 Stanley Cups would fit that bill.

No thanks to a Pettersson deal! Hopefully Pegula wont allow Adams to make this deal. Let the NEW EXPERIENCED GM make trades and go after UFAs like Mitch Marner or Rantanen this summer! The ONLY trade Adams should be allowed to make is to trade Jokiharju the Finnish Pylon for a 7th round pick. 😊
I dont think its as simple for Vancouver as getting rid of one guy and solving the problem. Youve probably got camps in the locker room, pro-Miller, pro-Petterson, Team Fuck Both of Them, Team Please Cant We All Just Get Along…etc.

Quinn Hughes said he doesn't want to be there if they're rebuilding. That may be the biggest road block. If they trade either he might want out as well and at that point it's almost a total tear down for them.
Cousins, power, benson, and a second for petterson, hoglander, and Soucy
This team needs a new GM, a goaltender that is consistent, and a defense that can clear people from in front of the net, and get the puck out of the zone. Then talk about new forwards.

I don't think Pettersson is worth two first line players. I trade Cozens, 26 1st and one of (Benson, Johnson or Quinn). This Cozen and Byram or Power was just a suggestion on Friedman's part and everybody has run with that. Three good pieces is more than enough in my opinion
Just start with trading Cozens for the best offer around the league. The team gets better the day he is no longer on the ice, dragging down the power play, making his line-mates worse compared to when they are not with him, etc. Just start there.
$11 Million contract and a player who creates locker room issues and WILL demand a trade. Yeah that is a guy we need.

Cozen is worth more than Patterson, his contract cost says it all . Patterson is not a big producer.

Ill do Clifton, Lafferty AND/OR Kozak for Pettersen AND/OR a draft pick. Preferably higher up draft pick. The higher the better we're talking about Kozak here. Anything else is a hard pass.
Petterson: an ego top heavy Queen putting up 5 more points in 2025 (31, he has 8 less points than Peterka) than Cozens (26), who cant get along with his squad and pouts because he doesn't like Miller and their having a bad year. Yeah lets trade Cozens AND half of the future of our entire defense core for the QUEEN when we're trying to rebuild. Lets completely blow up the rebuild all over again and give away all of our talent. Great plan. Then you'll be here for the next 2 years talking about how bad Adams is after advocating to just throw away the talent he grinded for to acquire.

Canucks aren’t trading Pettersson. Unless they are idiots. He’s too good when he’s on his game. They need to work on getting him back to that and then watch him put up multiple 100 point seasons. Instead of trying to cushion Miller’s line trade Miller and give Pettersson an elite winger.
