  1. They can't have the country that shall not be named. Even if they are arguably one of the three best countries in hockey. Not excited.

  2. Could you do a video on which stanley cup winning players are still on the team they won with? Curious when you go back 5+ years. Great videos are always!

  3. I don’t care about the 4 Nations.

It’s extra work for top players, plus the risk of injury.

International hockey was better when I didn’t know the players on the European teams.

  4. Ovechkin, Draisaitl, Kucherov, Panarin, Stutzle, Pastrnak, Kaprisov come to mind right away as top level players that won't be playing in the 4 nations and I'm sure there are a lot more. Trying to hype up a tournament without a lot of superstar players even playing.

  5. We could end up with the IIHF telling the NHL that they have to shut down for a week and send all of their star players to play “friendlies “. Then a bunch of them come back injured.

  6. Interesting that an 84 game schedule isn't on the agenda. I guess they don't see any point if they're expecting expansion

  7. Maybe try a Ryder Cup style format for forming team to get all the best players involved as the European nations that aren't going to have enough players to field truly competitive superstar team can still be competitive. 6 Teams being USA, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Russia & Europe everyone plays everyone, group winner straight to the final 2nd plays 3rd in an eliminator & the whole tournament should be done in around 3 weeks still

  8. To me the 4 nations cup just seems like an attempt to repeat the Olympic Games in Vancouver where Canada won against USA in the final. I don’t see how the NHL adds (my country of) Sweden and Finland in order to make the cup competitive from the NHL’s perspective.

  9. Im sure by the time it comes around there'll be more interested in the 4 nations but its very disapointing that theres some seriously good players left out of this tournament.

  10. OT should be 4 on 4, 10 minutes, No shoot out.
0 points if you don’t win OT. Or change point system to 3 points no OT Win. 1 point making OT. 3 point winning OT. Needs more urgency/ do or die, in OT.

  11. Simple solution for review is to put the onus on the team challenging to provide evidence within 1 min of the challenge.

  12. It’s also a bummer that because of Russia’s wicked dictator, the good Russian players in the NHL don’t get to show their stuff on a team.

  13. for length of reviews, maybe if not able to overturn call within set timeframe, such as three minutes, then call stands? allow teams to present to officials the view they want reviewed before set timeframe starts?

  14. The 4-N-Cup is an NHL/NHLPA effort, isn't it? The Russians are good enough to play in their league games to make money for them… But somehow not good enough to build a Russian team from for the 4-N-Cup??!!?? Why? This is ridiculous, and hypocritical. I hope all the Russian players in the NHL can get some great down-time, healed up, and come blazing out of the tournament with stats that are going to cost their teams even MORE money in contract negotiations! And ironically, all the teams that are Russian-heavy in their rosters are going to have an advantage, aren't they, as most of the rest of the stars from these 4 nations are going to be worn out, and Buddha forbid, even beat up / injured. Well, be careful what you wish for, making this senseless decision, NHL.

  15. when there is a penalty assessed for a failed review, instead of putting one of failed review team in penalty box, let other team going on power play put an extra player on the ice, similar to overtime?

  16. CBJ have three options with Fabbro:
    1. He falters there too and the y dump him.
    2. He flourishes and they trade him.
    3. He flourishes and they extend him (they're a bit weak on that side wit Gudbranson's age, Severson's inconsistency, Jiricek's slow development, and Cuelman's stagnation.)
