Gasp
Why is he so maddeningly inconsistent? Why is his defensive commitment so bad? Seems like the type of guy where interviews may play a big role and a guy that a team with two first rounders might swing on.
Boom or bust guy
Very risky, could turn into a Benoit Pouliot 2.0 and be a terrible effortless frustrating bust. Could fall into the 2nd round, in that case I pick him no questions.
2:10 That commitment!
Great video Will!
You've kinda killed the buzz I was getting watching highlight montages, but a wise man once said to "bet on a player's upside".
He may be a project, but with all of his offensive tools and the strength to back it up I can see him making it as a top 6 winger at the NHL level. His first couple years of pro hockey will teach him a lot and hopefully will round out his game.
As a Sarnia fan i can confirm they were hemmed in there own end for shifts on end. Legitimately one of the worst defensive teams i have seen. Doesn't mean he should be as lazy as he is away from the puck tho.
I've always compared him to Kessel for how good he could be one day. Has alot of similar traits IMO. Especially when it comes to the skating/shot & lack of effort defensively.
Reminds me of Raphael Lavoie last year. An offensive juggernaut who floats and has inconsistencies on the defensive end. Very possibly can fall to the 2nd round just like Lavoie did.
I think this dude could be REALLY good despite being projected to go 18-46
welcome to the Ducks! thanks for these videos!
Ducks fan here. Please tell me how to feel.
