Saad to meet with the Oilers

  1. Jesus knob is the new woody just messing with the lines all the time, he better start playing Noah more than 8minutes a night or kid will wanna walk and it will be knobs fault! Is Bouchard traded yet

  2. Saad might be one to come in and really perform to potentially get a top 6 role. Sending Philp down would be the best option. Give him a chance to play more in the AHL also. I think you need to keep Janmark for the PK and I know I’ve been a J Skinner hater but his cap hit coming off the books would be huge. Also possible termination would be there too if Skinner had a team to go too

  3. Saad has size and experience. Would be a great bottom 6 addition. Agree it appears the Oil have become a destination for players . Looking forward to seeing what Klingberg looks like as well. Thanks for the update!

  4. Now the time to rest Elkhom, with Klingberg here start rotating the D and giving him a rest this will make a big difference come playoffs because we know he won’t be leaving the ice when they start!
We are missing the big hitter and it will take Kane a while to adjust, so having someone available sounds great.

  5. Oilers, please trade Bouchard! This lazy degenerate gives away pucks every game and creates turnovers! 🤪 and huge contract next season ?

    Let's go Oilers !

  6. I'm not growing up with hockey as you all did, but following the NHL hockey becomes more and more my favorite sport – behind golf. But there are elements i never will understand and that's for all this never ending discussion about new players and draft opportunities. I can't see any problems in the oilers lineup, can't see really week players, can't see that there isn't enough depth. Watching the lineups for tomorrow I miss you for the example Kaspari Kapanen…. He delivers every night he is playing, brings tempo to the oilers team and scores – equal whether he is in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd line, he is always performing well. Why is this player not longer in the focus if there is a free agency to get? There are a lot of other guys always us discussed about – Corey Perry for example. But Perry is in his age of 40 still one of the best, bringst so many individual aspects to the oilers game. Scores, plays Powerplay, center or wing – why always speculating about his qualities? And then is Evander Kane waiting for a comeback – he is such a good player if he is fit….. The oilers play with top center like Henrique , Janmark or Perry, future Hall of fame player. Why all these never ending discussions instead of trust in what tge oilers have? Instead of building confidence in the playing lineups? I tell you what I miss on the oilers side, and that's a line with "next generation" players. I miss a line with a 22/23 years old center like Stützle for example is with a 22 years old winger…. The avs signed last year such a center guy…. The integrate the future. And i also miss a goal tender who has the abilities to win a playoff battle alone – like 2 seasons before for example Grubauer did when Seattle was beating the avalanche in the first round. Grubauer is a former 2nd at the vezina trophy and already two times in a Stanley cup final before… But now ee are talking about a new forward with Saad who is representing nothing of what the oilers really need… Where is the next generation talent? The next generation defenseman like Seider in Detroit is? Detroit gets the next Swedish talent here next season…. If you ask me, the Oilers should get more focused on the future! On the other side the season is long and injuries will happen – then you have to react maybe! But right now thinking about a player like Saad is not necessary. For all its not building chemist in the actual group… Sorry for my thoughts. Cheers!

  7. "After continuing to play generally poorly throughout the season, including posting a team-worst –14, the Blues attempted to trade Saad but did not find interest from other clubs and subsequently placed Saad on waivers to send him to their AHL"🤪 just another Garbage player

  8. Send Philp down, sit Skinner. Philp cant play sub 10 mins a game and it benefits him playing 20 in the AHL. Saad may not be the mid 2010s guy he was but he will be a solid contribution to the bottom 6

  9. Really cool! Happy for you! As for Brandon Saad I'd say no. He's on the downside of his career. Debatable how much toughness he'd add. There's talk of adding Trent Frederic from Boston. Rather have him than Saad. Speaking of the Bruins, I like Brandon Carlo. Been no talk about him being moved by Boston though. 6"5"" 220 so he certainly has the size. Term too. I think he's playing second pairing.

  10. This would be cool 😎 Saad an Oiler. Not sure about his + – interesting 🤔 Thanks for your update Patrick. Post work 🍻 couple pops after work Fanatic Rundown. Life is 👍
