  1. Minnesota was spinning its wheels just like Calgary. Minnesota brings in Bill Guerin and in two years Minnesota is a contender. Why can't Conroy do the same?

  2. Everyone understands what Pinder wants and we can all agree that is the best case scenario is getting a bona fide top draft pick. Here's the problem though with that thought process, it's all wishful thinking. The best indicator of the future is past behavior and with that said, I see no reason to believe that anything will ever change in the organizations approach. This ownership group has never willingly sold things down to the bare bones in the past 20 years since the cup run so why would they start doing it now? The success they are having against expectations this year will only hurt them long term because I'm sure there will be a belief internally that they are close. Craig Conroy said DAY 1 of his tenure as GM that he wanted to a Dallas Starts quick turn around retool. Why do we conveniently forget all of that? They aren't changing and never will. This whole thing could have been blown up before last season even started. When they signed Backlund to me that said we are going to stay "competitive" which we all know means the mucky middle.

  3. Pinder is right, it’s amazing how much the others can’t see it and just want mediocrity. You would think as a former athlete Rhett would want to win but he seems more concerned about maintaining the mushy middle.

  4. Look at Buffalo, all the high picks in the world, no culture. Their culture is that of losing. So I agree with everybody here, we hit a gold mine in wolf. Which makes it hard to tank so now you know a full tank isn't the option. So that's who you are. Ya got pieces, you go gain more pieces. Connie's gunna have to hit on some picks and some trades and we are right there. FlamesLife my whole Life.

  5. Pinder is articulating my pain.

Ive been a season ticket holder since 2010, but without line of sight to a cup I think I let them go next year.

No rebuild, no renewal. That's where I'm at. Doesnt matter to me if we finish 9th or waste 8 days.

  6. Conroy should make a trade now like nowww while we are in a playoff spot playoff hockey is fun to watch get the young guys some playoff experience. My wish is a Dman and a center men damn I miss mantha though 😢😢

  7. Im confused by the comments that say "These guys DESERVE a shot so go pick up pieces"
Deserve? They are doing their job, and above expected, but deserve? Come on.
The fans who have been waiting since the late 80's DESERVE to see a competitive team.
1 good player…..hell 1 superstar doesnt put this team into contention. It just wont happen.
Pinder is right, keep this culture and build slowly. Dont mortgage the future for a shot to lose in the first round.
I love Boomer, but i wish just once he would give us what he thinks the team should do. All he does is pick apart what Pinder says (right or wrong).
If you think he's wrong, then tell us what you think.
Love the show, love the guys, keep it going.

  8. Tanking is not the route nor gurantees anything , ask Buffalo. Plus wolf emerging is a game changer , you gotta build on the fly now and it can be done.

  9. This is textbook gaslighting on Boomer and Warriner's part. That said, agree with Pinder, the Murray Edwards Mantra of Mediocrity needs to go.

  10. Pinder is correct. Stop pretending like we belong in the position we are in. Wolf is not just a one year rental, we finally have a piece to build a long term future on and this time it should be done correctly and not with mid level players and management. Trade what you can and build from the ground up.
