Meanwhile this penalty is not interference. Which is defined using a player’s body, which clearly no other player is involved here. Just sayin, they made this up.

I honestly don’t know or understand why Tkachuk was penalized for that. It was going to be a delay of game penalty anyway. May as well penalize the player that sent the puck going over the glass. If anything, Tkachuk actually prevented someone from getting hit and potentially hurt.
This is so dumb. Guy stopped a puck from possibly hurting someone in the stands and they give the guy a penalty? Stupid man. Maybe this is just my thought
I’ve been trying to catch a puck for 20 years, if that puck was coming my way and he bat it back like that I would be so choked. That’s just me though, he might have saved some kids head so fair enough! Bizarre, yes.
He was the last player who touch the puck. Simple enough from my point of view. If the puck went into the bench no penalty but if it went over the glass that high from his own team mate then it would be delay of game. It is still a penalty. The last player who touch the puck in their zone and shoots over the glass has to go to the box. Interference penalty for sure. If Tkachuk was on the ice doing that it would be high sticking.
Dudes a cheat. Plain and simple.
