With starting goaltender Stuart Skinner unavailable as he welcomed his second child, backup Calvin Pickard stepped up and delivered, making 26 of 28 saves. It was also the highly anticipated return of Connor McDavid after serving his three-game suspension, and he didn’t disappoint, getting back on the scoresheet and leading the charge.
Depth scoring was the difference-maker, as the Oilers got key contributions from the supporting cast to secure their 50th game milestone in style.

Stuart skinner is a liability every game he plays. In all the games that he's won in net, only one game was due to him playing excellent, and that would be game 6 Dallas. Making it to game 7 of the stanley Cup was not skinner but more a team locked in on defending due to having no faith that skinner could make a save. How many times have teams scored on the first or second shot they have taken? Answer too many. How many times do teams score when skinner is flaling his legs opposed to keeping pads on the ice and together? Answer too many. Every team is aware to shoot high. He is horrendous when playing the puck outside the net. He is an ahl goalie at best. I hope Mcdavids' chances at winning the stanley cup are not defined by bad goaltending. Blackwood is 10 times better than skinner
you guys, when Janmark could not clear the puck, you complained, when he got a goal you complained. The guy plays on the 3rd or 4th line.
