Rantanen is a play driver, if EDM can somehow (I have no idea how) make the money work, it's a no brainer
I dont see this happening. but I'm also just a couch GM lol if they pay Rantenen 14 mill. Drai at 14 and mcdavid at 16. That's 44 million of the cap taken up by 3 players. We already have 2 superstars why do we need Rantenen? If he took a team friendly deal let's say 11 mill a season then maybe.. but he already left the avalanche because of money. So why would he give edmonton a team friendly deal
I’d love miko but not until we figure out Bouchard contract. I’d assume we got mcdavid already but that’s only half of what we need to worry about. Especially if he wants $14 mill. We’ll have 3 players above 14 mill which is probably more than 50% of their cap space. We don’t want to become the leafs do we?

Can't see it working. Who would be the support players? Rather have Kane and Henrique and others to fill out the bottom six. Only team with a lot of cap space is the LA Dodgers. He can play on a line with Ohtani and Freddie Freeman.

I don’t see this happening because of cap space! 97 will probably get 18mill, 25 gets 9.5, 29 gets 14, then what will #2 is unknown! Even though the cap space will go up these guys would get it all and maybe enough left over to get a handful of support players! They all want to win a cup, but if these guys get all the money then maybe they could buy one! If Rantanen came there you have it!!!
Bouchard is not and I say not worth 10mill, maybe 5-6 million! He has a good shot, but there are other areas he is not that great! His partner is much better than him and he is nowhere near the amount that Bouch will probably want!!!
