The fact that the Leafs would let Hakanpaa "get into a few games" before the 4 nations like that is his priority is insanity. I would sit his ass on the bench tell him to deal with it.

When Stoley returns (i am guessing after the weekend) Leafs have a solid tandem in net, Woll has been great (sometimes just good) considering a very heavy workload. Knies is having a great break out season, best he has looked yet….the unfortunate part of this is that he needs to be re signed after this season, same time as Marner and Tavares, it looks onerous for Tre' to find cap space for next year, it's ;looking like something has to give.
Bringing Stolarz back will do nothing to help the Leafs. Goaltending has not been a problem.
RThe problems have been:
Scoring: missing in action.
Power play: Missing in action, and so are shots on net during the power play. Last 2 games something like 1 shot on net.
The Leafs better 5 on 5 versus 5 on 4.
Defense: missing in action.
Until they resolve the above issues, no need to worry about goaltending, or pushing Stolarz back.
Finally getting some players back . Paciorerty and knies might play tomorrow against wild and we will need them . Tavares could play Saturday against oilers . Stolarz could also maybe play against oilers . I don’t think the leafs will put him in his first game against the oilers ( I wouldn’t anyways ) I think he will play the game after . So we could have everyone back before the 4 nations which is good news because they have two weeks off to rest for 4 nations and get ready for to play the last 25 games or so.
Bring Grebenkin back up. He was gritty and always giving 100% and he kept getting better every game.
Hakanpaa using the the team that is paying his salary as his runway to the 4 Nations is nuts!
The overall health of the team is pointing towards the team that was built in the off season being 100% healthy for the critical point of the season. Despite all the injuries, the Leafs are in a grest position and the fan base should be excited to see what this team can do once healthy.
We absolutely need Stolarz back… and it’s not to say Woll isn’t amazing, because I think he is, but he’s still young and he’s been plagued by injuries…
He’s already played more games this season than any other in his career… we’re already asking a lot from him but to expect him to be able to lead us through the playoffs is not realistic.
Now having Woll as a back up goalie? That’s overpowered.
This team is always a joke !! Over payed bums like marner, Matthews . The coach blows and Shanahan ruins this team every year !! Sell the team if you can't win !!!
