Stolie the Show | The Leaf: Blueprint Moment



The Leafs shut out the Bruins in Stolarz style. Three power play goals and 29 saves from Anthony Stolarz helped lead Toronto to a 4-0 win over Boston to start a four game homestand.

    In Newfoundland, we are only seeing 1 Toronto Maple Leaf game a week on TV which makes it worse than last year — GO LEAFS GO

    Why do I have a feeling the Maple Leafs will do what the Leafs always do, which is to look at an obvious situation and make the exact wrong decision? JW might be a better goalie than AS, but we may never find out because the sample size for JW could be so small due to injuries.

    The Leafs always seem to have this odd sense of loyalty to players who might deserve it, but who haven't proven it. I like Joseph Woll, but he hasn't shown that he should be the number one goalie.

    Yes, he got injured and that didn't help, but that's all part of it. JW has had a history of injury and AS has not.

    In other words, Stollars should be considered the number one goalie right now and the only way he should be dethroned, is if Woll takes it away from him in relatively few games. I'm talking two or three starts where Woll wins them all, lets in two or fewer goals and gets a shutout in one of those games. Maybe then he could be considered the number one goalie, but he'd have to get through all of that without getting injured. That seems to be his kryptonite.

    I'm hoping the Leafs change things up a bit and start making the right decision instead of the wrong one, but I've been waiting for 57 years now, and I don't see much changing.

    Stolarz got one shut out, THE LEAFS THINK that this is a new team?! Ridiculous . Can’t wait for that first round exit
