Lol Avs won trade easily
Lowkey a great move for the avs
Oilers better
what better club to score its 1st pts against? lol
That's such a beautiful goal. Starting with that beautiful one-touch by Drouin to MacKinnon, who then processed to pull off an incredible spin-o-rama pass while falling down. Drouin made a great job to protect that puck from being intercepted by the Rangers' player, while letting the puck to go right to Necas, who then makes a nice pass to Makar coming late to finish with a SNIPE.
I miss rantenenπ’
Necas will suddenly look like a different player, offensively….playing with Mackinnon and Makar. So many are clueless to the effect of playing with players who are top notch. My bet is that Rantanen will take a step in the opposite direction….playing with the Canes. Just look at Hyman….who has made a career of playing with top players. He benefits a huge amount from that, even though he is far from being a top player in the league. He's just a good hustler with an ok shot.
So it turned out well, but why didn't Necas shoot there??? We traded our top goal scorer for him, we need him to be a shoot first/pass second player, and he didn't even think about shooting it, he was immediately looking for someone to dish it off to.
Those Rangers jerseys look awesome π
Let's all appreciate Nate's assist on the goal.
People saying the Avs are cooked after trading Mikko, where you at?
If Naces does nothing else, passing to Makar will guarantee he nets a point-per-game. π
Here's the facts..Necas is a great player and one of the fastest skaters in the game and his open ice ability is scary but problem is he is soft on the puck and panicks when the D collapses on him and he make a lot of poor choices with the puck. Transition and rush plays are his bread and butter however come playoff time we all know all the open ice run and gun gets thrown out the window and it becomes a puck possession game which is more Carolina's style. He will play great in Colorado and will be a great asset to the team. I would to have loved to have kept Necas but he just can't play Rod's style of forechecking and puck possession but hopefully it works out for both teams
0:44 did anyone else hear the slip sound effect? Haha
So many elite plays in like 2 seconds. Unreal sequence
Ok canes fans. Where were you hiding this guy?
AVALANCHE TIME BABY π
Honestly Necas is FAST watching him and MacKinnon break into the zone its terrifying
If the Avs can pull of another trade for a top center like Miller, those top two lines for the Avs will be sick, when they get Val back. Val Miller Lecky as your second Line is insane
0:08 was a very wise stick lift from Drouin. Instead of fighting for the puck he read that it would glide perfectly to a streaking Necas
nobody talking about the sticklift of Drouin made that play possible
Assist on the rangers like that's supposed to mean something. Rangers have been a big let down this whole season. Wake me up when he actually scores on a good team.
The stick lift dirty
Avs have 3 assistants? Who's the captain?
Drouin is such a savvy player
for those who don't know, we have 2 of the fastest 3 guys on the ice now. check out this stat. Most 22+ mph bursts this season:
57 β Nathan Mackinnon
48 β Connor McDavid
33 β Martin Necas
