The Utah Hockey Club wrapped up its second game in Canada in the last three days tonight against the Ottawa Senators.
A chess match between the Ottawa Senators and the Utah Hockey Club ensued in the first period with both goal tenders putting on great performances. Utah took 13 shots in the period and the Senators took nine, but the teams entered the locker room tied at zero
The first half of the second period was penalty-ridden with Utah and Ottawa combing for four before the 12-minute mark. Utah went back on the power play after Josh Norris slashed Lawson Crouse, but it wouldn’t be Utah taking advantage as just second into the one-man advantage, the Hockey Club turned the puck over resulting in a short-handed goal for the Senators.
Despite the self-inflicted wound, a Clayton Keller pass took a fortunate deflection in front of the net for the game-tying goal and what would end up being Utah’s only of the night.
