Hope Ottawa will not go for Pettersson
The only player we trade Pettersson for from Ottawa is Tkachuk. Norris isn’t even that good, the guy is injured all the time… Maybe for Miller, but he won’t waive to go there anyway. And even if he did we’d need more than just Norris, prob a 1st on top. Chances of a trade with Ottawa has got to be very low.

Trade Crosby and a 2nd for Necas, a 1st, and Callum Ritchie.
Trade Crosby, a 2nd, and Rickard Rakell for Necas, Callum Ritchie, a 1st, and Casey Mittlestadt.
Trade Crosby, DOC, and Marcus Pettersson 50% retained for Necas, Callum Ritchie, Mikhail Gulyayev and a 1st.
Trade Crosby, a 2nd, DOC, and Ryan Graves for Necas, Callum Ritchie, a 1st, and Sam Girard.
Force former Av Ryan Graves into the trade to get Crosby.
Trade Sid and Geno 50% retained to the Avs for Necas, Callum Ritchie, Casey Mittlestadt, and a 1st.
Green does know Canucks. Miller Desharnnais maybe.
I don't think Ottawa should make a move for Petterson.I think Ottawa should try to move Norris on a 3 way trade.
Norris to Buffalo for Cozens then Buffalo flips Norris to Chicago for Lukas Reichel.,and a pick.

I understand that the Sens need more depth but trading for the sake of a trade isn’t Staios mentality. Dorion on the other hand, he’d do it. However, moving Norris plus a pick is not something that will interest the Sens, especially if they can’t get out of the losing a first round pick this year or next year. Their AHL team is mediocre at best and they really need to boost their farm team.
What about a 3 way where Ottawa sends their picks and prospects to the Pens for M. Pettersson and package that with Norris for the foundation of the trade?
As a sens fan Ottawa is not moving Brady Sanderson or stutzle get that in your heads pls, yes it would be a Norris trade and yes miller makes more sense as it’s only 50k in cap difference. Will it be Norris by himself no, but it won’t be picks either unless it’s a third and some prospects anything more and you’re dreaming
Could see a Simon Nemec or Bowen Byram to San Jose so San Jose can jump their dcore and those players become the number 1 man that they want to be. Return if it’s New Jersey is depth like a granlund or kunin with a Ferraro and picks and Buffalo you could send some prospects like a Mukamadullian and Gushkin or Bordelue with picks. San Jose’s defense looks good with Dickinson coming and those teams get what they want with picks

I’m curious to see if Mark Andre Fleury is on the quarter-century team with Minnesota/the Penguins. Is it possible to be on three teams when it comes to this court of century team make up?
I think it would be dumb for Ottawa to trade for Petterson.
Mike why are Canadians so possessive of ice hockey? No European or Russia countries play the Canadian style of big hits just for the sake of big hits. Yet Canadians insist on their style and don't really evolve the game. You bring an 8 year old to a game and it's just to dangerous for a parent to spend all that money on. While their kid can get seriously injured. Just a conversation.
Another point on the 4 nations. What is the incentive to play hard for any player? Why risk injury in an all star game? This is going to be a lead balloon.
Nothing is more important in sports than representing your country in best on best play. The Stanley Cup is merely a league championship. One's country comes miles ahead of that!

Bouchard was snubbed from Team Canada. Hes young and played big games and despite not played well he should be in.
