I really hope the gamble pays off for both sides. At least Rantanen didn't seem to know he is up for trade from the AVS. I conclude that when I listen to the post game interview after the Isles game. The psychological aspect of this trade impacting the player(s) cannot be underestimated. I trust that the team and coaching staff help both players to get their self confidence back . Rod knows what it means to be traded without being asked or pre-warned. Mikko seemed to be very disappointed with how the AVS handled this situation.
