  1. Growing the fan base is a great idea but doing this in all French so many of current fans can't understand what's going on isn't the right way to go about this

  2. Don’t shove French down our throat we are educated people you just want to alienate as many fans as you can. Why cant you translate this after every part like you do in your normal press conferences we feel totally not wanted in this process.

  3. As a Sens fan who lives in Montreal, all of you complainers in the Ottawa market need to shut up.

    Its 2 preseason games.

Less than 48 hours ago you let Maple Leafs fans take over your home arena, in the middle of the season, while the Sens are having their best campaign in almost a decade.

Fans in Ottawa, YOU neeed to stand up and sell out your rink when your new owner is spending 90 million on players salary to be sort of competitive. Do that, and hes not going to want to share his team with other non NHL markets.

  4. Great news ! as a fan and living in Quebec City ! For the other comments below you must know that Quebec City is a french speaking city and the interview done in french was normal. You cannot compare Ottawa/Gatineau that is right next to each other. I understand your frustration of having an interview in french but still the market of the sens is english and french.

  5. The more Sens fans, the better (English or French). I'm sure Chabby loves the idea of playing near his home town.

Also, listening to the interview in French helped me with my French listening and comprehension skills. Bonne pratique!

  6. You could have just had a couple of pre-season games and there wouldn't have been much fuss. Why mention playing regular season games and have Sparty in a half and half shit. Did nobody in the organisation stop to think how that would go over with the existing fan base?

  7. Anglophone fan and I am happy to see the community connections the org is undertaking along with it's aims of expanding the business. Guys, there are francophone fans of the Sens. We get every American's interview and soundbite plus all the other players cuz they gotta learn English to play in the NHL AND our francophone players still primarily do English interviews. It's OK that there is one (1) presser en francais. Not a single fan is complaining about losing time to 4 nations and Ottawa just hosted the WJs like… bffr.

  8. Love this initiative. Great idea.

However not a fan of regular season games in Quebec. It’s one thing to participate in a global series to grow the NHL brand in Sweden. Its another thing to move NHL regular season games from Ottawa to Quebec city. Quebec is an established hockey market and does not need regular games brought there. This is a mistake by the organization in my opinion. Andlauer needs to walk this part of the plan back.

Love holding part of camp and preseason games there though.
