  1. Matheson for Calgarys Anderson straight up, get the habs a right hand shut down defender for hutson on the top pairing

  2. Matheson might be hitting the wall. He plays a lot of minutes, maybe nagging injuries are a factor. The 4 Nations tourney may help some guys rest up or heal up. Laine may still have knee issues.

  3. Doby needs to build upon his form. You can see in the first period he's oftentimes clunky, then afterwards he adjusts himself to the speed of the game and puts on a masterclass. I think the momemtum of starting consecutive games would help him with that

  4. I'm ready for a goalie tandem like Monty and Dobes. Would like to see a 60/40 or 50/50 split. It does feel like Dobes could handle a bit more load than they are giving him, but I don;t see the need to write off Monty because both goalies in their last games faced over 40 SOG and both kept the Habs close. What I would like to see is better defence by the guys in front of them.

  5. Mathesson is the DEFENDER on a 3 on 3 AND supposed to be the QB in that situation. Laine put the pass exactly where Mathesson SHOULD have stopped up at the blue line. If he did had 2 options for a return to Laine for a one timer or shoot on net and hope for a rebound for Evans to jump on. Mathesson has such incredible skill, if he would stop trying to be the hero all the time we would have a lower goals against average. GO HABS GO!

  6. It just seemed like Matheson was squeezing his stick too tightly, tonight. Normally, when he has the puck he does something with it, but tonight he fumbled it a lot.

  7. I just want to see Matheson tracking players down low in defensive end more effectively. Gotta look over your shoulder and have an active stick around the net.

  8. Stop conjecture about trades. There won't be any trades involving major players. Matheson won't be traded this year or next. He is in Montreal to stay for the foreseeable future.

  9. The line was out way too long. Was not surprised by the result. Not mad, mistakes happen. I'm not a pro player, a fan. Lots of redemption time going fwd out weighs the disappointment of the Ot loss . Dobes did his best, overtime is what it is suddenly over. One shot and done.
Habs will learn from this ghg!! ❤ Dobes 1st home start was beauty.

  10. Bad pass from Laine. Lazy all game not fast enough to cover his point and wasnt shooting good at all. Lazered allen in the chest from in front of the net… Matheson's defensive chemistry is god awful with most dmen pairings and simply cannot tie up any stick in front of the net which led to one of NJD's goals. And that final OT play Laine and Matheson can be both blamed for this. Although the odds were against matheson to win that battle just shows how un-clutch he is. He bobbled the puck earlier in the OT while entering the zone.. Also why is marty putting on Evans, Laine and Mike at the same time? When have you seen those players link up in a big moment?? Shoulda put on dach at least.

  11. Laine has to get out of his lackadaisical skating style and puck movement. None of the opposition care about his past play. So he needs to put a stronger effort especially with leg movement. Passing he had all day to set up Evans or Matheson early. But he hung on and was forced to make a quicker pass behind Matheson's forward progress. Caused losing goal.

  12. If Montreal was asleep for half the game they have better chance to win, 34 minutes in they only had 10 shots

  13. Matheson is a good player wasn’t a great game for him but he’s a very good player overall if you get rid of him, he’s not easy to replace
