Its not a dirty play at all. Thats just an unfortunate hockey play. A player trys to avoid a hit and the player giving the hit happens to get a knee on knee. Imo cousins was approaching that hit at a terrible angle so honestly its more his fault then the kid trying to avoid the hit
We see a lot of times where guys throw the knee out, whether trying to hurt or just trying to not miss their check. This isn't one of those cases. For all of Cousins' garbage plays in the past, this is not a dirty play. It's not like when Chiarot led with the knee and then changed the angle to continue leading with the knee when Tavares got knocked down in the playoffs a couple of years back, it's not like when the Leaf minor league reacted and caught Laine in the preseason, this is just something that happens. Mind you, if somebody HAS to get injured, just as happy it is Cousins instead of someone who is a little more honest player
To be fair Cousins is a class guy. Was with Florida last season and he's a really great guy. No malice or Intent on either players side in this tackle. Hope both are OK and cousins isn't too badly injured.
