Sammy and thinking the NHL/Referees are always out to screw the Leafs is a bad combination
shame on cousins going in to hit a guy with the puck…then both moving because the hit was a miss…nothing intentional…both legs caught
This team can't score because the "Berube system" is trash. They barely score and their goalkeeping bailed out their D for 35 games. They don't look dangerous at all this year…
The Leafs problem in the playoffs was scoring not defense… Now they can't even score in the regular season.
Can't win every game, but Matthews and Marner with only 1 shot in the game is not good enough. The stars gotta go full out in a tight game. Gotta finish.
the doctor test thing was the perfect explanation
What's the difference between leafs talk and the view 😂
Marner was brutal tonight.
Did you guys seriously throw shade at Kurtis from Alberta? Dude's a legend and a great leaf fan!
You guys are such cry baby's 😂
Brad who lives in a tree needs to make a trade, this team is not playing like a true contender.
Ahh man – you guys are a blast! 🎉 Thanks for all the shows!
Marner wasn't that good too many turnovers and bad passes.
McMann is better and faster than Knies that's for sure.
Lol. Boohoo. Leafs suck and Sens absolutely own the Laughs
I hope they're warming up for oilers next weekend just because I'm going to the game Go Leafs Go
Does anybody think the Leafs can beat the Sens, Habs, Blue Jackets, Bruins, Rangers, Tampa or Florida in a 7 game series? lol where would the goals come from?
You guys are high thinking Marner was good tonight. Him and Matthews were awful. McMann was the only good player on that line tonight
Gotta tear it down… totally! This team CANNOT win tight-checking playoff-type games. And don't bring injuries into it… because it doesn't matter who's on the lineup it's the same result.
So it can only be one of 2 things.
1. The Leafs are good enough, and aren't going full tilt.
OR
2. They don't have what it takes for that type of hockey.
Whichever one it is… get rid of all of them!
Leafs could not challenge a kicked in goal not a option
Haven’t you ever been to the doctor? His leg kicked out because the puck hit it, like when the doc hits your knee with that little hammer. If you look at it that way it looks pretty funny.
How dont you know that kicked pucks can't be challenged
Leafs need a McCabe-type forward, with a thick skull. 😁
The irony of a guy in a purolator poo brown bud light hat saying Bad Hat.
Bud light disgusting, up your game JD😂
Middle aged men with selfie ring lights in their glasses 😞
As long as we always beat the bruins im happy
The NHL looks for any reason to disallow goals. They should have challenged.
Any Leaf fan that's really paying attention knows they were gonna lose this game. I can't buy this team is going anywhere in the playoffs with guys like Kampf, Holmberg, Domi, Robertson, Reaves, the bottom six is not NHL Stanley Cup championship caliber. Not even close.
Sam, I’ve been a loyal listener of Real Kyper & Bourne, but I’ve got to be honest—your approach lately has been tough to handle. Last week, during one of the shows, you kept badgering Kyper with 'Do you know who you’re talking to?' repeatedly in response to his joke. Once might’ve been fine, but dragging it out completely disrupted the flow of the show. Even after that moment passed, your energy stayed over the top, and it made the episode hard to enjoy.
Now, in this video, I couldn’t get past the 4:30 mark because of how irrational your take sounded and the way you delivered it on the idea of challenging the goal. As a Leafs fan, I get it—I initially wanted it reviewed too, thinking it wouldn’t count. But countless replays from every angle showed it was a legitimate goal. The puck hit the player’s knee first, then bounced in, and the kicking motion only happened after—which doesn’t invalidate the goal under NHL Rule 49.2.
Per Rule 49.2: 'A goal cannot be scored by an attacking player who uses a distinct kicking motion to propel the puck into the net.' However, 'a puck that deflects into the net off an attacking player's skate or foot shall be a legitimate goal as long as no distinct kicking motion is evident.' The officials got it absolutely right.
Suggesting a challenge here would’ve been reckless, especially considering the situation. Shane Pinto’s goal came at 10:47 of the third period, leaving the Leafs with 9:13 to mount a comeback. Challenging the goal, which was unlikely to be overturned, would have resulted in a delay-of-game penalty and the loss of a timeout, putting the Senators on a power play and further disadvantaging the Leafs. The coach got it right by not challenging—a smart decision that kept the team’s focus on the remaining game time.
Per Rule 38.2, an unsuccessful challenge results in a minor penalty and the loss of a timeout. A failed challenge in that moment could have completely killed the Leafs' momentum and their chances of tying the game.
I’m not trying to be rude or attack you—this is honest feedback based on what I’ve noticed over the past few weeks. Your passion for the game is clear, and you’ve got valuable insights, but the stubborn takes and overly aggressive delivery aren’t helping. A more measured, thoughtful approach would not only strengthen your credibility but also make the show far more enjoyable for listeners.

Gotta love leafs fans. If the leafs scored this goal you'd be cheering in the streets. Leafs playing at CTC is more of a legit atmosphere than the leafs playing at SBA.
Just keep harping on the embarrassment that is the leafs quiet barn. We can get them to change it by retrofitting the arena to include real working class fans in the lower bowl. It's not impossible.
