  1. Almost feel bad for Detroit and buffalo fans seeing habs make a playoff push after only rebuilding for like 2.5 seasons lmao

  2. Lane Hutson is insane as well as laine, his one timer on the pp is nuts! And of course we can’t forget about the rookie dobes just lights out in every game he plays but there’s soooo many players on this team that are play so well they all deserve a lot of recognition and respect.

  3. Jake Evan’s has been here for a decade he likes it here why would we trade him when he’s literally a perfect bottom 6f. I’ve only ever heard that take once and buddy tried to argue for picks but we have a full roster of prospects why would we trade him for a late first.

  4. An other move that really change this defense is the addition of Carrier, who is sooooo stable. His duo with Guhle is one of the best shut down defensive pair in the NHL since his addition !

  5. I stopped watching the canadiens a few years ago and Im on the verge on starting again, Im really excited to see Demidov next year…. Keep in mind he's having this incredible record setting rookie year playing around 12 minutes most games and pretty much never on the powerplay…he's special. If Dobes and Hutson keep going we might have one of the best players at their positions in all 3 positions. I've also heard that we might have the best goalie prospect in the league right now in Jacob Fowler if it doesn't work out with Dobes/Montembault. Add to that Laine and Caufield, we might have 3 40goal scorers on the team …. The next few years are gonna be awsome !!

  6. If you're going to include Demidov then you've got to include Fowler. The habs core is looking insane.

  7. They'll fade, hot now, long season.GoldenKnight fans think their season over after losing 3 straight games.People need to relax on these things and see how they play out!

  8. As a Canadiens Fan: what I really wanted was for this team to win some close games, and compete. But it seems, they have taken it a step further.

  9. If Lane Hutson gets an apple tomorrow he'll break the record for most consecutive games with an assist for a rookie defenceman. He's also been playing at over point per game pace since December 17th. His case for the calder is looking REALLY good.

  10. As a Finn, I'm so glad that Laine has had an amazing comeback this season. I literally cried when I saw that knee collision in the pre-season.

He has so much potential… Probably one of the best, if not the best one timer in the world. He has size, probably why Tortorella wanted him to be more power forward type. Well that he isn't, he is a big guy with a lethal shot.

Again I'm happy that maybe finally he has found a place where he can rejuvenate his career and enjoy hockey once more

  11. Leafs fan here. I’d welcome a Habs v Leafs first round. Was at the game this past weekend, the Bell Centre crowd is unbelievable. Even better when they lose after 7 unanswered. All kidding aside, great fan base in MTL. Great young team. I hope they make the playoffs.

  12. I myself a Montreal Canadiens fan is doubting that they'll make the playoffs, but really as a development standpoint this couldn't be better considering we are in the mix without our biggest piece and still a VERY young team.

  13. Of all the teams currently fighting for a wildcard spot, I think the Rangers are the most likely to make the playoffs.

  14. Habs were literally in a Cup Final 4 springs ago, and now they have rebuilt into one of the most enviable situations in hockey. Elite management decisions under Gorton Hughes.

  15. I wonder If Im the only guy in the room, that even though I truly love seein Laine being a Hab and flourishing, I just dont see him staying after his contract ends. Don't get me wrong, for sure both parties would love him to stay, but in a long run this Habs offence will be packed with extraordinary talent. Lets say Laine scores around 35-45 goals next season, that'll make him for sure 9million dollar player after this seasons success, at least. Can Habs put that money on Him when there will be challenges in the near future to sign up all this top tier talent… Im not sure. I truly hope they will find a way but Im a little sceptic over this.

  16. I honestly thought Detroit and Buffalo were going to finally make the playoffs.
When you think of how cohesive they are with him in the lineup, Laine was a steal.
