The Habs won this game by a score of 3-2, Samuel Montembeault looked incredible and this morning? The Habs just so happen to be in a wildcard spot which begs the question.. I have a confession to make … I often watch games on a delay so I can skip commercials, intermission, etc. Every now and then, when we're getting just dominated and it looks really bad, I'll FF gameplay because I'm simply not interested in watching getting our asses handed to us. After 2-0 last night, I had to do it. I'm glad I only went about 5 minutes forward. Saw it was 2-1, quickly rewound, and pretended like nothing happened …. 🤷♂️

Kudos to the Canadiens on their recent run. However, they can't rely on OT wins, 3 period comebacks and stellar goaltending if they are to make the playoffs. They need to continue to elevate their play, as the worm will turn in close games, as they could easily lose as win.

Somehow it seems that after the injuries, Patty has found a good fighting spirit and the joy of playing,
which has infected the whole team. I used to not be able to watch Habs games, but nowadays they are very entertaining.

When you start trying to pinpoint the reason for their success, it becomes a little obvious that it's not really possible. Laine? Hutson? Suz Cole Slaf? Carrier? …etc. I think we can put most of the love on SAMMY. He's been a true number one. Dbes came in and saved the day with the backup troubles, but he's still very much just #2. No need to start thinking of Monty losing his job. That's absurd after 5 games. MONTY has been the team's heart when it mattered MOST. That's not to say the rest of the team isn't pulling together as a unit FOR him. It's a beautiful thing to see as a Habs fan who's been hurting for a few seasons now. If they miss the PO I won't cry. As long as they keep up playing well!
It's going to be exciting to see this team grow even more and more into a prolific top team for MAN YEARS! THAT is the plan. NOT making the PO one year.

Yep for all you non believers the Montreal Canadiens are as of today seven points from second place and with with time getting short my crystal ball says they will take over first place before the end of March. My crystal ball has been wrong several times with hick up predictions and that was due to battery issues so yea the team is playing with HUNGER and the fans are also HUNGRY the least you want to do is make the fans ANGRY.
I’ve pretty much always watched the Habs’ games since I was a kid (I’m 33 now), and what’s happening right now is incredible. Since Laine’s return, it feels like a whole new team, and they’ve never been this exciting to watch.

Montreal definitely needed Laine but Laine needed MTL a lot too. Look at the bullshit markets he was trapped in – Winnipeg, Columbus. Dudes a stud and he wants to be a sports superstar in a big market but ends up getting depressed and hooked on Fortnite cause what the hell else is there to do in Colummipeg?
Another positive for the Habs was the abandonment of the Primeau project.
