Everybody won in this trade, even Rantanen, who is going on worse team. Mikko wanted more money, and that is what he is going to get by probably signing a 13-14m$ aav deal with Canes, or else Canes have made the dumbest move of the decade by losing Necas and Rantanen in short time.
Necas is great, greatly unutilized by Canes but I feel like Avs should have gotten at least 1st round pick instead of that 4th round as he is top 10 forward in the leauge 😮

Uh…hmm…I’m uncomfortable with this. There’s currently no extension after this for Mikko. Necas got a good start than went cold. He had been making good plays recently that have lead to goals and essentially wins for the Canes. Idk I feel Mikko gonna be gone over the summer and then we’ve lost Necas who may have just been in a funk. Drury well I go either way there. He hadn’t really been impressing me since his return. Idk guess we’ll see 🫣

I am a Washington Capitals fan and this affects me in no way shape or form. But I think Colorado is borderline retarded for getting rid of Rantanen. He's been a key player for the Colorado franchise for years.
He was going to be UFA this summer and the Av’s weren’t going to pay him more than MacKinnon which is what Mikko’s reps want. Plus the Av’s have to deal with Makar’s contract soon. It sucks for us Av’s fans, but that’s hockey under the current cap.
