Mtl is hot , not good yet , sure they could sneak into the playoffs of they stay hot , but how far are we going in them. Trade the ufas while they are hot , sell high

What I love about this year is Gorton is telling the team that what they are is up to them. The management is saying their minds are being made up in real time. I was concerned that the Wings were gonna win tonight because they needed it more. The story is being written as we go, love these Habs.
It could just be me , but Monty feels like he’s playing with less confidence the more dobes plays
Rough one today, needed to win it today as this would put us with 54 points and a #1 in the wild card race.

The only stinker last night was the first 20 minutes. after that they were competing well. Kirby Is doing fine and if we can get a real top 6 (Demidov) to go along with Laine, Dach will become the center we were hoping for. I love Newhook and on a third line at center as his speed will allow him to dominate other 3rd line canters (reasoning given for his trade at the by Hughes since we already had Dach) One note on what Gorton said. What he said was, "we won't be trading any young PLAYERS (note he did not say "prospects".) He did say he will get these guys some help, that to me means some Laval prospects and picks may be on the table. GO HABS GO!
If we lose Saturday we wont make the playoffs…if we do lose i hope im wrong…
Worst game, or 1st period yet this season: the guys left their legs in Montreal ! That said, the effort was there, but no scoring to match. I think Mr Hutson needs some rest… point streak aside, he s making routine mistakes uncharacteristic of him! AND! Monty should have had a nite off!! & rested. O well…

After a game like they did with Rangers to come out like this against the Red Wings is so sad and disappointing for everyone that you can't pull anything out of your hat after such a great performance means you got nothing in the tank
Well another thing here. Montanbo couldn't save a beach ball pulling a lalongo here making it hard for the team to actually give a s*** when the puck goes in. So damn easy. It kills your groove and it kills you as a team. What s*** performances he has had lately
Im not blaming the refs, the Fella’s deserved to lose that one, but Gally has a wide open cage at 3-1 and gets tripped right in front the net…not like a questionable trip – a trip that would used in a video showing what a tripping penalty looks like. They’ll call questionable penalties in the neutral zone that have no impact on the game, but blatant-goal stealing infractions go unnoticed? Then we wonder why rating are crashing…Question – do you think we need to rethink how the games are officiated? Could the refs manage the game off the ice with technology? Then we don’t rely on 2 guys, often fending for their lives not to get run over, trying to see thru players, to manage the game? Could that be possible? Almost like a Volleyball refs…or similar. They could jump on the ice as needed. Should they rethink this?
PS – this goes both ways, every night.
Need to start playing Dobes no confidence in montebeault he slacks and if u watch him when the camera goes on him he looks lost in his eyes. There a reason why he was waived and not traded let that sink in
Thay game is exactly why Monty is not a true #1. 2 of his last 3 games he gives up a couple of bananas. Hed been this way his whole career. He Dobes need to share the net 50/50. I hear lots of talk about the team turning around after the Carrier trade or Laine coming back. But kudos neef to be given to Hughes for sending Primeau to Laval. Dobes pickef us up 5 wins, without that move we would have been lucky to win 3.

If we trade Evans we replace him with…who, exactly? The kid has played his butt off for us, he deserves an extension and a healthy raise.
I am happy to keep developing the young players and am very excited to see what happens as more of the prospects come up! I am ok with waiting another year to get into the playoffs if it doesn't work out, and even when they were losing the season has been fun. That said, I think it is best to try to make the playoffs so the new players get some experience with it and develop a winning culture! All good no matter what. 🙂
Let Dobes play 4-5 or 6 games in a row to see if he can be the starter. Nothing against Monty, but let him take a shot. We have nothing to lose!
Habs need a defensive defenceman for Hutson now.
Everyone needs to just chill. A tired team, nothing more. It's a condensed schedule with little pratice time to minimize exhaustion. Their run since December shows they understand what the coach wants them to do. Anticipate the play is a cognitive strength and when you are tired, it becomes more difficult.
Give them a week of a more traditional pratice schedule and good things will continue. Enjoy the ride because this team is just getting started! 🔵⚪️🔴
