However, Team Teal persevered to tie it in the 2nd, however a power play goal by Fedor Svechkov was the difference in Nashville’s 6-5 win. The Eriks (Puckguy & Landi) broke down the good of a 3 point night for Michael Granlund, 2 pt nights from Kovalenko, Celebrini got his 15th goal, Smith extends his point streak to three, and the meh of five losses in a row.

I truly, sincerely do not understand the profound disappointment that is incessantly manifested on all of your sharks YT channels after losses right now.
Love the channel, you guys do a great job..
But uhh…. Losing these 2 games against the Preds is a wildly beneficial swing for the long term success of this team we all love so much. These 2 losses really, REALLY help our chances of snagging that top D-man in this draft that this team so desperately needs… instead of Nashville stealing him from us by somehow finishing worse this year.. especially cuz they don’t deserve or need as high a pick as it looks like they’re going to get this draft.
This game gave you 3 fights in 3 seconds of game time (which I’ve literally never seen in my life), TONS of goals both games, our future star goalie showing signs of potential, the kids doing exciting things every game, showing why they were picked so high recent drafts… oh AND, we still lose to the most important team to lose to right now, solidifying our top 1-2-3 pick for this draft.
What else do y’all want?!
The games are exciting, nothing like last year. The rebuild literally couldn’t be going any better. THREE fights in 3 seconds!! FIVE goals… AND now we’re in dead last place behind Chicago (oh and Nashville which is sweet)..
this was the perfect game for a sharks fan right now.
I don’t know if it’s instant gratification y’all are yearning for.. or what.
But, do you actually want our team to ever win a damn cup in the future or not?!
These losses are fucking CRUCIAL to our future realistic chances at getting a cup or 2 in the next 5-10 years.
The more we win now, the farther we get from a future cup.
I don’t get it. I really don’t.
I understand the frustration of watching last year. It wasn’t exciting. It was really poor hockey. Blowout losses left and right. No hope for the future in Celebrini, Askarov, etc etc etc.
But this year…. This is one of the more exciting times I can remember being a sharks fan for all 35 of their years.
The constant win/loss column-watching were lamenting every show on YT… I truly don’t get it.
I can see being disappointed over will smith constantly making mistakes not picking up his man in the D-zone.. I can see being disappointed over Askarov showing his youth, needing a lot of improvement on a few things.. etc
But the disappointment over wins & losses.. I truly don’t understand.
I don’t want to be the current 49ers, or the Sharks of 10-15 years ago, or the current Sabres.. etc etc etc.
It’s been 10 years since the SFGiants won, and they’re not rebuilding, and they’re not winning. They are a perennial .500 team and it is the most BORING shit to watch ever. They don’t have a GM/ownership with vision like the Sharks do. The last place Sharks are exponentially more exciting to watch than the .500 SFG right now. And the SFG win WAY more often than the current Sharks do.
You wanna talk about disappointing.. try the Giants for the last 10 years dude.
This is going swimmingly this year.
Exciting hockey. Kids are showing strong potential. And we get a top 2 pick.
It won’t be like this for long. The team is already too good (despite how it looks). They’ll be playing much better hockey starting as soon as next year, with the trajectory they’re on.
Musty is coming, Dickinson is coming, Schaefer is coming, will smith is coming along, Askarov is coming along, Eklund, Celebrini..
Im fuckin stoked watching these games this year. I don’t get the disappointment. I really don’t.
