Monty was horrible. Dobes should start the next 4 games. I think Marty knows that Dobes is better than Monty.

Im rather disappointed with habs fans take on monty. From the half way mark in the second the habs were allowing constant pressure in their end. Monty didnt allow any howlers in and actually made a few excellent saves. The canadiens choked tonight, thats it. In the Dobes games they played much tighter games defensively
Wrong goalie choice .. Marty should know , Leafs always play hard and win in Montreal , and vica versa ..Montreal does the same in Toronto .. why not have Dobes in net ? Sammi has the bad habit of melt down often .. 6 goals allowed cannot win a hockey game in NHL. 3rd, 5th and 6th goal were weak. Montreal could very well lose against Rangers now due to mental fatigue result of crushing loss to leafs

If Dobes wns tonight… Dobes should play next game, tis was a bad loss man, 3 – 0, I knew at 3 – 1 it was over. They let them come back. Dvorak was brutal lazy shot hits post leads to goal… Then get's bad penatly they score again, he needs to et traded, nothing in 20 games, he can be replaced.

This was a rough one… I thought for sure the Habs were gonna win this game. I thought it would be close
But I thought the Habs were gonna win 4-3.

The game looked like 4 different teams! Period 1 leafs vs period 1 Habs then we saw the period 2/3 Leafs and the p2/3 Habs.
Young team who got reminded they still need to work on consistency.
Monty could not make a save in the 2nd half. He looked unfocused.
Hutson's defense was exposed especially on that Nylander break away.
But only the 2nd regulation loss since Chicago game. So we all need to relax a bit.
If this was against a top Western conference team we would have more perspective. But this was the leafs and it drives us all crazy.
It's the next game that will show the character to the team.
yea we looked like the old habs for two periods. monte sucked but it all started with our human zanboni savard !! & his protege gulie. when these defenders think laying on the ice or blocking shots is the right thing to do is a recipe for failure in the long run….
untill we get rid of savard armia gally & devorak. & our defense plays the puck or man it will be mostly disappointment
I was playing cricket and I watched the 1st period whilst waiting for my turn to bat and was quite happy with the way the guys were playing. By the time I got back to the shed to check the score it'd blown out to 6-3 with 5 minutes left. TBH I thought a 3-0 lead going into the 1st intermission wouldn't last but how the wheels fell off was disappointing. They were bound to snap the win streak so I'd expect Dobes to get to call and they guys will respond against NY. Thanks guys.

It may sound cliche, but in the first, the bounces went to the Habs in the 2nd and 3rd the bounces went to the Laffs. It also might have been a different game if Dvorak had of skated back on defense instead of standing staring at the net after hitting the crossbar while TO was skating down to score a goal. We knew they had to loose eventually. too bad it was the Laffs. GO HABS GO!
If we ride Dobes hard for the 2nd half of the season, he may overtake Hudson for the Calder
Monty wasn't the problem last night. He was great early on, but the whole team stopped working

You cant blame Monty. Habs defence was terrible…especially Hutson. The kid took a stupid penalty that cost them and he was on the ice for 3 more goals against. He is getting exposed when the game gets physical.
Monty didn't make the key saves,, that cost us the game.
They had Dobes to start until 4pm Saturday why make the switch dobes would of played a solid 60 min not just 20 min

They had a good first period but couldn't get that next goal to make it 4 nothing and you know the worst lead is 3 to 1 but you don't like blowing 3 goal leads

This should of Ben a win. Here are my observations. Obviously, Monty did not have a great game and Woll stood on his head. I did notice that the Habs pulled back to start the second and especially Hutson. He can drive play but must have been told to stay back while up 3-0.
The one team, the ONE team that you do not want the Habs to shit the bed against. This game came down to goaltending. My Leaf fan friends have been texting, they're planning a parade (aren't they always). I need new friends. We gonna rip the Rangers today though. MTL needed this reality check. Here's to another winning streak.

This game was lost by Habs not getting the next goal in the second period & that's where the difference in the game was. Habs need to [KNOW] how to play with the needed killer instincts & maintain it.
No sugar coating this was a bad loss. It ‘s a reality check. They are on the right path , there was glimpse of the potential, but they are not there yet
Dvorak should've been benched after standing there looking at his shot. Get rid of that guy. Monty alwasy been a #2. I have no idea where the #1 rhetoric came from for him. The guy has played the exact same since he started in this league several years ago. Monty is a great #2. He will win you games.. but a starter? I'm sorry he's not that kind of gamer. I'd be rolling Dobes just as often as Monty to see who's who. When Fowler and Demidov show up then we can start to get serious about chasing championships. Just my take. Reinbacher will be a welcomed addition too on that blue and I feel like Joel Armia is playing for a contract… I'd replace him with Owen Beck asap.
If Dobes was from Quebec and was a francophone he would be the starting goalie. Bring up Fowler, get rid of Monty.

Montembault was brought in to backup Carey Price and play 20-25games not the 50+ he’s being asked to play. He’s a capable #2, no more.
Everyone has a bad day. You don't let in 7 goals without letting a 2 or 3 stinkers. Give Dobes a little more time and see how it shakes out, may just wind up with the best tandum in the league whoever is the started.
Monty or Dobes, Dobes or Monty – can we please put a stop to all this nonsense? Where's Carey Price? Can we put Carey back in net please?
