I've said it how many times , I am right about everything with Pittsburgh sports. I said earlier you can't trust the Penguins to be what they show on occasion against good teams. Said it before Edmonton, said it after Edmonton, said it after LA. You can't trust this team. But you wanna keep talking positive and saying they believe and they're playing better blah blah blah. Just stop. They suck just as all Pitt teams now suck. No longer the city of Champions. It's now the city of insanity. And we all know the definition of insanity. Sullivan gone NOWWWW!!!

Hey DK……am I a bad fan? While everyone was jumping on the bandwagon after Edmonton and than with LA, I was sitting back expecting this result against Anahiem. I try to watch every game, I'll rewind plays to see where guys were, analyse a game in my own way good and bad. Last night I think I put more effort in staying up the extra three hours to watch then any Penguin did, there was no fire or passion, plays were not crisp, it just was not the effort needed from a team grasping at straws. When do the delusions stop, from the fans, from the players, and especially from the management? Enough is enough! The only thing decent is the powerplay, and Sully doesn't have anything to do with it, but he does the 5 on 5, and we are looking at the worst 5 on 5 team in the league. We are watching the worst first line in hockey defensively, what are they now -60 collectively. Why is Dubas not doing something, new players….NEW COACH!!!!! Shut Sid down you shut this team down, and I dare say minus the pass to Karlsson, Sid was awful last night. Malkin has no magic left, Letang is a shadow of himself but convinced management he had four more years in him, Rust is only good on the powerplay…….the most noticeable guy out there is Karlsson and he's playing to get out of Pittsburgh. Last night two players from the Ducks dictated that game, Trouba & Gudas. The lightweight Penguins were dumping the puck in and avoiding the tough areas, playing perimeter hockey shooting muffins from the outside, and Sullivan said their goalie made huge saves all night….come on, he was good but not brilliant!! Stop with the BS! As a fan I am pissed, keeping Sullivan past his expiry date, (2023), keeping the band together, wasting good years left in 87, and expecting me as a fan to believe and invest in this team, this product, this management!!! Flash forward ahead, there's some real nasty years coming, there will be no Mario to save it, no Crosby………..and no fans in the stands…….I'll let you ponder what happens then. So DK, am I a bad fan, or do I have crystal clear vision and of sound mind? ( I wrote this prior to listening today )
I think tonight proves without a Doubt Jarry was far from being the biggest problem on the team it’s undeniable DK this team just flat out stinks. Absolutely atrocious defending terrible defensive structure subpar goaltending by NED as well he’s AWFUL 0.891 save percentage % he’s not a starting goalie in the NHL and subpar scoring it’s just the truth at this point getting rid of Jarry made absolutely no difference whatsoever but I understand the move I guess 🤣🤣 it’s crazy how they play even worse against worse competition as well. But yea the belief that things would get magically better if Jarry was released is all in vain that much is clearly obvious lol🤣🤣
Another game with nothing but low shot after low shot after low shot. An entire team completely unable to elevate a puck. Same thing night after night, and again they will continue to never practice shooting, or breakaways, or shootouts, or odd man rushes. So apparently they are okay with an entire nhl team completely unable to do anything but shoot five hole and it never ever going in
They were also glaringly bad at face offs last night. Did they win any? There's far too many shortcomings on this team to allow them to win consistently
Sure make for tougher episodes when the goalie you DO like is getting the same results as the guy everyone hated… huh ? Craig Patrick and Eddie Johnson sure left Kyle a mess to clean up eh ? poor fella.

My goodness. Enough is enough. At the very minimum Dubas should be DFAing Sullivan's pets like Acciari and Nieto. Give this dude no option but to play fast players that can contribute.

To paraphrase Herb Brooks from the movie Miracle, "I don't want the best players, I want the right players." This leads to my question on if the reason Sullivan's system is so difficult to play consistently, is simply because they don't have the right mix of players on this roster? Maybe they need a few more true two-way players? Ya know, like Lars Eller.
Just never know which team will show up. It's so hard to watch bc they look so good at times and then look horrible 🤷🏻♂️

To me, the Sullivan system clearly works and has for years. But the players either can't or won't play that way game to game. Age has to play some kind of factor if it's the can't. But they are the most consistent ones. What a predicament.
If I had a dollar for every time I heard Sid say postgame, "we gotta find a way to…" I could own DK Pgh. Sports. I know it's what reporters do, but, at this point, it's a waste of time to ask him anything like that. NOT a criticism of Sid. It's not his job to figure that out. That's for Sully/Dubas. If Sully is coach and core still here, NOTHING will change re results. Just like the Steelers-Same as it ever was.! Be blessed y'all and emotionally separate yourself from these teams. You'll be happier. Yashua rules!
After over half of the season gone, I realise that this is what the team is. I don't have much confidence that all of the sudden they will play consistently good games and no longer think they will make the playoffs.

Ha! That title cracked me up. Feels like it's the goal of all 3 teams right now. Question – if you KNOW Sullivan's system, why can't you DEVELOP more Scott Wilsons and young Rusts? It seems impossible for any player throughout the system to get tougher, faster, stronger.

I said in the preseason before the season started….this roster as it is constructed is a bottom 10 team….there are no first line wingers, they have 2 second line wingers a the rest are a bunch of mostly 4th liners some third liners and scratch players…..they don't have good defensemen and Gryz signing didn't address the defensive issues on this team, just like Karlsson trade didn't address what the roster needed….The team will not be better than this..they are a bottom 10 team…..the roster construction is not good.
If you look at Stanley cup winning teams…they had a bunch of high IQ players…Hagelin, Hornqvist…they are high IQ….bonino, even Kessel, he has high IQ

Let's face it Crosby and Malkin are not 40 goal scorers anymore. They hit a wall in their careers and teams know this. There's a lot of salary coming off the books after next season and I say that's where you make your move for a big free agent.
Thinking big picture, I would say the Pens are a finesse team and finesse teams who can only play finesse hockey are destined to fail the way NHL hockey is being played these days. Last nights game was particularly bad because not only did the Pens get thumped on the scoreboard, they got beat up physically…and the other teams know that the way to beat the Pens is to play a very physical style of hockey (especially when they make the playoffs). The Pens would be great if they were playing Bandy ::)
Its time to take a risk, Malkin needs a x factor Winger… that persin is Jusse Pulliarvy! … in exchange of Nieto. Release the Kraken!
This team isn’t good enough that is 100% for sure. Time to trade some guys and get picks and younger.
