I can never root for DeAngelo, the guy is a scumbag. Lou is compromising the dignity of the team at this point. He can't be gone quick enough as far as I'm concerned.
I love the move! He'll have more points than any other Islander defenseman for the remainder of the season. He's not going to cost us anything, and he's gone at the end of the season. Our PP is last in the NHL. Is he going to make it any worse? Nice, friendly teammates have gotten us in last place. Maybe it's time for some of our players to get a little uncomfortable. I can tell you one thing, DeAngelo cares about winning and doesn't care whose feelings he may hurt to do so. As far as his politics, while I agree with his, even if i didn't it wouldn't make a difference. He plays for my hockey team.

He sees 7 points and there is no way he deals palms, brock, etc. That number has to be double digits closer to the deadline for him to do the "right thing". They should only deploy T.D. him on the pp. He is horrific defensively. Roy must LOVE this move. I just don't see Lou dealing guys. He has stated in the past that he doesn't believe in rebuilding/retooling. Why should we believe that has changed?

If you forecheck hard on Islander D men they turn pucks over or toss it wildly off the glass into the neutral zone. He may be lacking in his own end but he can move the puck and play fast.
