  1. Edstrom deserves props. Plays hard, physical, smart defensive hockey every shift.
Quick for his size, good hands and a mean streak.

  2. This is fool’s gold. However I am enjoying one facet of this stretch: It took a while but the Rangers finally came to the realization, “Omg, we need size…more importantly guys who know how to use their size.” Rempe, Edstrom, and even Carrick understand the importance of a physical 2-way game. Doing the dirty work is what allows the peaches and cream boys: Mika Zibanejad, Panarin, Adam Fox, Alexis Lafreniere to do what they do best…which is allergic on checking their man. As much as I love Filip Chytil who has the size but always one hit from the DL. K’Andre Miller is out in space. Another guy with size but never used it.
This team needs speed. It’s now got the size but not the speed. Maybe time to bring Brett back up. Won’t take long. Rangers stars are injury prone.

  3. The proof is in the pudding with Rempe. And if Brian, who has NHL Ranger experience says he has a positive influence, that should be good enough for anyone.

  4. Maybe just me, but I wish I heard more from Molly & Brian. Larry dominated the talk too much. That said, really enjoying watching the team click. Let’s see if they can keep it going, especially if Drury makes a questionable trade.

  5. Rempe and Edstrom give this team an identity that they won’t be pushed around. Add Cuylle and they have as much toughness as any team.

  6. Those Canadian's, of the Seventies, were a magical team. They could win by out skating you. And, if you wanted to get dirty, like the Bobby Clarke's Flyers did, they could out hit you, too. Speaking of which… Lavy has to play the 4th Line. As long as Rempe isn't taking stupid risks and being penalized-play him. He's a weapon and a good luck charm for this team. Thanks!

  7. Re the impact of 4 Nations break: remember last season heading into the all star break, Igor was in a multi week slump. There was talk heading into that break about whether Quick needed to play more bc Igor was bad for weeks. Then he got that break, his team won, and he was fantastic the rest of the season. So it can sometimes help a guy who is slumping find something. Hopefully it helps Mika and Kreids continue to build on some things they’ve found in the last couple weeks.

  8. Our 4th line has been carrying us. Borgen who was written off has been really strong. Chytil brings skill. Need to get Kreids producing again a regular basis. But nice to see them bounce back.

  9. Our vets not putting up numbers, but at least the kids are. Let the kids play. They are the future of the organization.

  10. I’ve been saying this for a long time, Zabinejad needs to stop looking for that perfect one time that he’s used to always getting and just dump the puck on the net. Last night you saw that with Edstroms goal and it wasn’t anything special. You have Traffic in front of the net and the puck may take a crazy bounce off of someone. I also think Zibanejad is in his own head. Don’t worry about what you’re being paid and don’t worry about the specifics of getting a great goal. Just put the puck on the net.
I also think that he has always been a late bloomer in the season, unfortunately this is the longest I’ve ever seen him. Take the start get going.
Real quick I think Rempe working on a different element to his game to be a more complete player !
Funny I was writing “more complete “ as Molly said He has a different dimension to his everyday game.

  11. It should also be noted: the 4th Line of Carrick, Edstrom and Rempe:

…have yet to give up a goal againt, since Rempe returned from his suspension.

Meanwhile, they have produced offensively. These are the numbers for the last eight games:

    Carrick: 2 Goals…4 Assists

    Edstrom: 3 Goals…1 Assist

    Rempe: 1 Goal…..1 Assist

  12. Rempe can not fight. He sucks. He's a good hockey player. If they let him fight he will be braindead in two years. I love the dude but I can't watch him get his brains scrambled

  13. Rempe will be okay he needs to avoid bashing people into the boards to avoid suspensions. He’s still an intimidating force and I hope his ice time increases.

  14. This show was much better when the Rags were bad and miserably depressed.
    LGD 🙂
