It’s quite possible the Canucks will end this season with the lowest number of standings points among Canadian NHL teams, and if that happens, I won’t be too surprised.
It's not like this is Vancouver's first 0 for January.

The Canucks are too soft of a team at this time. Hughes gets mugged and the mugger doesn't get taken care of. They had Zadorov, who would have stood up for his teammates but management didn't want to pay to re-sign him. Too many small skill players, that are unable to handle the rough play. Unfortunately, most of these types of players disappear during the playoffs!

If the real issue is between Miller and Tocchet, I wonder if they just fire the coach at this point. Seems like a trade is going to be hard to pull off with only the Rangers seeming to be truly interested.
Booing Garland is just part of the 'gamesmanship' within the game. In the opposite instance, Canucks fans would be booing Perry nonstop in the next home game against the Oilers if he had goaded Hughes into getting suspended. Booing's not the end of the world; these players are big boys.
The Oiler fans were taking years of frustration out on Garland. Not fair maybe but Garland does suck.
