JT Miller is the Canucks problem right now. A 1-1 trade is what they want, but they aren't in the position to ask for it and it doesn't make sense for the Hurricanes to entertain a 1-1 trade when we're not the beggars.
The Canucks want to unload locker-room poison that is wrecking their team onto somebody else, and they need to be treated as such. He's dragging down the Canucks, they should be willing to accept anybody that is a halfway decent player because losing him will lift up the rest of their team (their hopes at least).
No team should be willing to take the risk of wrecking their own lockerroom, without some sort of compensation from the Canucks.
