It starts at the top! Adams is clueless and he needs to go! This team is soft like their owner. What do I mean by that? Terry is not challenging Adams to get off a$$ and actually do something to provide this team the tools necessary. Terry is not tell Adams to make it happen or giving ultimatums to Adams. Hiring Lindy Ruff was a huge mistake. Like trying to throw a square ball into a round hoop. Its a mismatch of epic proportions and with the additions of Lafferty Malenstyn, and Zucker as being his only off-season moves and not acquiring a top 6 forward exposes Adams lack of hockey front office acumen to make this team any better, which is why he needs to be shown the door.
Sabres need at least two good sized Defensemen with a mean streak that know how to play D. The Sabres need some size on the forwards not these surf types that this team keeps drafting. Cousins needs to be moved to center and paired with some experienced gritty players on the wings who can skate but you build around Cousins not trade him! Krebs can be traded, but Benson you keep, its seems redundant to keep both. Zucker is the modern day version of Pomenville, with more skill, but by the time this team figures it out he will probably age out so his talent is being wasted. Quinn is a little too young and has not filled out yet so I wouldn't trade him either, however he was brought up too soon. Kulic is a gem and seems he will probably develop into a solid scorer.
Lafferty and Kubel just haven't lived up to expectations for fulfilling the role of a 4th banger line and that falls again on Adams failures. Beck Malenstyne was a decent pickup and the Sabres need more edgy players like him.
This team also is a reflection of their GM who play like pu$$ies on Ice. Adam's is a pu$$y! He was pu$$y as a player and he is a pu$$y as a GM and this team is a reflection of his persona. Enough said!
This team is about 4 players away particularly vets who can get this team competing again. The front office needs also to be fixed from the current fraud shell game to a proper GM with a proper NHL administrative office with proper scouting. Pegula doesn't want to spend the money for this therefore the talent and the team suffers in the long run.
