Trevor Zegras is back…AGAIN

Trevor Zegras made his highly anticipated return to the Anaheim Ducks lineup after recovering from a torn meniscus, and he wasted no time making an impact. Leading the team with four shots in just under 16 minutes of ice time, Zegras showcased his playmaking brilliance, though his potential was limited by his role on the wing. The Ducks broke their six-game power play goal drought thanks to some great puck movement, but defensive lapses and special teams struggles cost them in a 5-2 loss to the Florida Panthers. With the team’s system at odds with their skillset, frustrations are mounting. Can the Ducks bounce back against the Penguins? #nhl #anaheimducks #floridapanthers #trevorzegras #hockey

  1. Zegras is back! 🙂

Love your sarcasm, not passive aggressive at all! 😂 Never change! You and Sean are awesome. Great video!

  2. I mean if we are just going to randomly put lines together i could be the head coach, I could use the pay raise! 🤣🤦‍♂️ Go Ducks!

  3. Did you hear someone in section 400s section chanting “Fire Cronin” in the last few minutes of the game? I was hoping it would be louder

  4. Best playmaker on the team, on a team desperate for playmakers. I want to hear no more nonsense about trading him.

  5. I work at the Honda center as security and trust me the whole crowd couldn’t believe the Ducks scored that quick.

  6. Man this has been rough. I really wanted to believe the guys would click and be more consistent but I’m not so sure how. I think Cronin is a good coach, and a good man. I think he care about his players, however this might not be the best fit moving forward.

Just like you said, it’s strange to identify what the team seems to be better suited for but use a different system hoping they get it. We aren’t scoring, and just adding Z back won’t change that. I don’t think any one player is going to change that.

I’m still holding out for Gerard Gallant, but the really exciting pick would be the former coach of team USA for this last U18 team! That guy has two NCAA Championships and Back to Back Gold Medals with Team USA. He also knows Terry and Cutter.

  7. Was at the game myself last night Ducks put up a good fight but Florida was the better team game was over in the 3rd period onto the next game tomorrow hopefully they bounce back against Pittsburgh GO DUCKS!!!!!

  8. When i see the Sabres win a game I know anything is possible, these Ducklings must play every new game like that, a new game! Pick your heads up & get out there lively fashion & remember it's the game you love + chose. Don't start thinking your already losing hell even the Preds have won this week , Make your own head of steam & play like you belong in the NHL. Forecheck, battle & hit;– It's the new shake, rattle & roll.

  9. Nothing will happen until the coach is gone…they will NOT improve until they are allowed to advance their ability to the fullest…he is teaching a process that simply does not fit their abilities

  10. Long rant session time. This game just upset me like no other. First, fire the broadcasting crew. Bad enough the play by play butchers players multiple times a game. But then for half the game, all they were doing was talking about Florida and the 4 nations cup. Absolutely ignoring the game and Ducks, and really only calling the game when Florida had a good shot. And what the heck was that between Terry/Vatrano/Strome in I think the 3rd period where it looked like they absolutely quit. The D was just abysmal last night. Little Z was handling the puck like it was a hand grenade. Part of the problem about this team is the three pylons. Gudas, Trouba, and Dumoulin. They get control of the puck in the D zone, and just sit behind the net letting the other team regroup and well, 5 players can cover 4 players. Rush team, skate and move the puck. Old Ducks D. Stand around waiting for a 300 foot pass. And Minty seems to be following the veteran leadership, and gravitating towards the stand around and not skate mode of defense. Here is a novel idea. Instead of benching one of Little Z, Minty, or Helleson every game. How about benching the non existent veteran leadership of Gudas, Trouba, or Dumoulin every game. And don't get me started on who should play with Z and Leo. If we are building to the future, let the kids play, and bond together. No more but veterans inserted blocking the kids.

  11. 3.goals down to the defending Stanley cup champs. What can you do. 6 goals down to the Flyers…priceless.

  12. Yeah i think at this point this season is done, the team look worse than they did last year, they look lost, there is no chemistry been created, when it starts its swapped out, excluding when injuries occur, at this point i am watching hockey games because i like hockey, right now Ducks games are just down right ugly at the moment, and this organisation just likes losing.

  13. I really noticed a difference with Zegras last night, in a few areas. His control of the puck, passing, more control on the power play. The whole team seemed sharper. As much as he has been criticized in the past, I think last night put it to rest for me in my mind. Zegras is a huge asset to the Ducks. I agree with Kim that I'd like to see Zegras, Carlsson and Cutter together. Leo Carlsson needs a shake up and so do the Ducks. Leo is a big body and I would like to see him in front of the net more. He has great hands so putting him in front of the net would work. Let Zegras do the passing and shooting towards the net like he did in your video. Cutter would certainly benefit from passes from Zegras an Leo. McTavish seems to be coming to life so moving Killorn down with McTavish and Fabbri seems like that would be a great line too. Gritty. It seems to me those lines would be worth exploring after what we saw last night. It can't hurt, right?

  14. That Fire Cronin clip at the end says it all. haha. And, I know it was a Tuesday but man was it empty at the game last night. Sheesh
