  1. I think Miller for futures, as long as they get it done soon enough, is a good option as it opens up subsequent trade options down the road, as the futures won't be encumbered by Miller's contract and especially his no move clause which means Miller can nix any move he doesn't like, even if it would have helped the Canucks and the team he was going to out. The futures won't have the cap hit JT has, and won't have the no move clause allowing them to veto any move they don't like, and it frees the team up to find deals with teams JT would be unlikely to veto.

  2. Jesus. I hate canucks management… we want to make playoffs . Oh , yea! Let's make playoffs to be knocked out in the 1st on a sweep.

  3. Why has no one considered. Lets miss the playoffs . Draft a good asset, and retool the dcore . When willander and d pettey come in?

  4. I know they want roster players, but they turned Bo into Hronek+, so it’s not like they MUST get the exact return they need in one trade. If they get a good offer, like 2 good pieces plus a 1st, they can turn any one or two of those assets into a roster player they need. For example, that reported offer from New York, if it had a 1st plus Chytil and a good young defenseman, you can take those assets and work with them. Boeser might not resign, so you can move him for a centre or package him with Chytil for a centre and a pick.

  5. if a few of our overtime losses were wins we possibly could have had a whole different demeanor in the our dressing room and possibly won a couple or few of our losses. The team is finally healthy and together and should have some time to figure it out instead of trading away a star player.

  6. It has to be money in money out, it really is that simple. Don't hold your breath on this one. The big trade news is Boeser is about 95% out the door already, that is the real trade story. Oh ya Gio, you don't have two 100 point seasons in the last three when you play "once in a while". That is a joke comment. Let me make it real simple for yall haters. Note when emotional players like the ones on the Canucks are losing they go along with the crowd and even exceed that level of play good or bad. Milsy is the emotional leader on the team when the team sucks he is usually still the leader and his play sucks the most. Ring a bell?

  7. This team is not a contender why are you saying to trade a First no matter the circumstances trade Boeser and Miller for futures and retool on the fly or fulll put rebuild

  8. Stupid commentary…..based on this theory….. Why don't package Peterson with Miller. Please never be negotiator ….. You will get destroyed.

  9. Trading for futures is exactly what they did with Bo Horvat, and then flipped it for players that could help them now. Such as Filip Hronek. So it has been done before.

  10. This team is far away from being a contender, let alone a pretender. Trade the asset while he is still an asset.

Futures are fine. Free up some cap space and give yourself some flexibility.

  11. What a shock that Van is not a contender

Last season they feasted on the weakest division in the league

4 of the bottom 10 teams came out of the Pacific

    Seattle
    Calgary
    Anaheim
    San Jose

Edmonton slow start before they went on a tear

    Vegas limping all year

LA regretting trading for Dubois and no goaltending

No way Vancouver is better than LA EDM VEGAS

Clearly 4th best team in their own division

Overrated, joke franchise from the owner down to locker room

    Hughes and that’s about it

Miller loud mouth hypocrite locker room cancer

Petterson soft sarcastic diva can’t even skate, but he looks great at home on a Wednesday night against San Jose

The D corps is the biggest, dumbest, slowest brick for hands collection of pylons in the league

Blow it all up and rebuild

    Sell the team Aqua sucks

Jim Rutherford is just collecting pension he doesn’t care

Patrick Alvin is cooking alright, cooking with a fisher price bake oven

  12. It's not the players it's the coach please canucks get rid of him ….his style is not fitting in with his players ……Miller talks for his team that's why there is confrontation between Miller and coach

  13. What about moving Demko for a player the team badly needs? The team imo doesnt need a highly paid goalie right now. We got the backup who is playing stellar.

  14. The Canucks were bad before last season, they had one good year and everybody surprised that they just fell back to form they’re not better than what they’re showing

  15. Their defense is a joke except for Hughes and Hronek. They should trade Miller and also Boeser so they dont lose him for nothing if they cant re-sign him.

  16. I want Lafrenière or Simon Nemec, Dawson Mercer you need to get a player with high end potential. And Laf and Nemec were drafted top 3.

  17. Vancity dude, I listen to you because I consider you as the national inquirer of the Vancouver Canucks. I watch the games strictly as a fan. I do not watch every game even though I have been out of Canada for 41 years. The drama you folks talk about is having me turned off the games. Frankly , I do not care if for example Petterson is forced to play games with a weggie because Miller is responsible. I hope you get my drift. It reminds me of when I use to deliver the Province newspaper as a kid and Tony Gallagher was so hard on this team. Nothing has changed in 41 years. All the Vancouver media is doing is turning off fans of the club. I have lived in Boston, New York City , New Jersey, Phoenix and Seattle and have gone to games in all those cities. I have gone to games in Los Angeles and Vegas. A lot of those games have always been Canadian teams. Your Vancity media is turning fans off . Frankly I do not give a rats rear weather this player loves or hates that player. I played ice hockey growing up and played in beer leagues until age 38. Never did all of us get along. But we all got on the ice and played as team. I as a fan am finding I am turning games off more than on. I have zero plans to actually see a live game this season. This is the first year in about 41 years, I will not attend a game in person and actually pay. This hurts the NHL. I bet you I am not the only one .
