  1. Reaves is officially irrelevant. Zero fights this season and zero big hits either (except on Nurse and he got suspended for it). I get that he asked Xhekaj to fight and Xhekaj wouldn't, but Reaves didn't exactly push the issue. If Reaves wanted him so bad then grab him and give him no choice, who cares if he takes an instigator, he's barely on the ice anyway. Reaves is an empty jersey now, he has one job and he won't do it anymore.

  2. What is wrong with you leafs fans? You watching the same game or are we that far away that the understanding the concept of human interactions or your observation skills is so different? I mean, the last couple of games Xhekaj has been slow, making waaay too many positional mistakes every game, so let it be clear that I am not currently a fan, so lets take away that factor and just state facts… Reaves was throwing his body around at the end of the 1rst to change momentum, Xhekaj went after him and moved his hands back and forth as the classic "lets drop the gloves" move and reaves looked away and went after another player in the corner, then they talked at the end of the period (same shift) and Reaves motionned at the score, not the other way around, probably saying something like: dude not the time to fight look at the score
And Xhekaj probably was saying: well if you don't wanna fight stop with the hitting you p$%^

As I said I'm not a fan, but in no way shape or form would Xhekaj run away loll I mean the guy fought the other team's goon after a 2min shift, stuck in his own zone, totaly spent, while the other guy just got on the ice. He even motionned the referee away when he seemed to be physicaly asking for their help, out of breath, but he stopped them from stopping the fight.

My jaw dropped at seing Reaves reaction tonight and the fact that he was avoiding him, I mean we do see the games from different camera views but come on, lets be objective. Might be for a complete legit reason on Reaves POV, but facts are facts.

  3. Ryan Reaves one of 8 players from 2005 draft still playing. Sidney Crosby leading the way, but amazing that he's lasted and still getting shifts

  4. Arber would not fight Reaves, made a fool of himself pointing to scoreboard, he did not have a chance to jump Reaves from back this time.

  5. You are missing the far more important fact that after Xhekay refused Reaves offer to fight, the Maple Leafs came back to score SEVEN goals and win the game. He did indeed ignite the crowd, unfortunately for the Canadians it was the crowd dressed and playing the game as the Toronto Maple Leafs.

  6. If anyone was ever in need to adopt a new last name, it’s this guy, tough as nails…anyone know which country he’s from or which planet

  7. Xhekaj skated out of there, like his ass was on fire before Reeves could point out the standing to him. 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂

  8. Reaves has gone this far without fighting. It's not a good sign. Poor guy is done, and he's still locked on a ridiculous contract.
