Lots of shots , PP looked like it confused Bouch. Concussion? Good thing most near me don’t speak English as I yelled shoot the f*^%# puck. Drai had too many passengers but worked his butt off. Refs still substandard as to be expected. Park it and try and get ready for the dirty Nucks .
All this over passing is reverting back to a few years ago when that’s all they did. Held the Caps to 10 shots. As for Bouchard, how many bad nights has he had this year? Not asking 10 mil per season now. Sorry but this is how he plays and relies on assists to look good points wise. Thompson was definitely the deciding factor tonight.

with a mediocre goalie Skinner who allows 3 goals out of 14 shots with SV=0.786 and a mediocre defense like Bouchard (-1) the Oilers should score more than 2 goals with or without McDi)) but the Oilers also have a mediocre coach Knob who cannot use players in the most efficient way

Per the stats: Oilers outshot Washington (by 19 or more than double). Logan Thompson did great in net. On one goal he said there was something that disrupted him but Corey Perry's goal counted. Ovi kept off the board. The Oilers were afraid to block apparently because they almost didn't do it at all. I think that is a big contributing factor for the loss. PK (for both teams) at 100%, both teams drew 3 PP chances and no one scored on them.
Leon got the first goal and an assist on the 2nd. He was 61.9% in the faceoff circle. He was also a 1 on the night. Noah Philp played 5:15 and had 1 hit. Why even bring him up to play if you're not going to play him. He was a 0 on +/ for the night so he couldn't have played badly yet almost no ice time.
Both Bouch and Nurse had rough games imo anyways. I don't really blame Stu for all the goals. He was screened on the one and did not even see it go in.

Skinner still being below 30th in sv% is pathetic, he needs to step up or we need a better goalie.
