  1. worried about peterka price tag as well. i was a bit upset when they played him on top line in meaningless games last year, sort of inflated his numbers. woulda kept the numbers down and resigned this offseason for cheaper. also think quinn could get to resign on a bargain deal right now. if they keep them both w/o contracts it prob only will make sense to resign quinn. peterka will be too inflated.

  2. I can agree on trying to extend not only JJ, but Quinn as well. Byrum, McLeod and Levi are also all RFA's next summer, though Levi is my least worry as he's NOT offersheet eligible. Still, that's all a very strong list of players. The more they get done now, the better off tomorrow will be.. (just look at Boston)

  3. $7.5 – 8.0 on a 7 year deal. We may be having the same conversation in January about Quinn. The $28 million in cap space next year looks thin since Byram and Levi need to get paid too, plus Ryan Johnson and whoever fills the Zucker, Greenway and Aube-Kubel slots.

  4. I can’t seem to find where I saw it last month, but I saw that Jack Quinn was one of the League leaders at either Points Per 60 Minutes or Goals Per 60 Minutes.

I know I saw it somewhere, so if anyone can find that and confirm it, that would be appreciated and would give everyone a little more confidence that a healthy Quinn is more valuable than most people already know that he is.

  5. Can't pay JJ 9mil if he becomes a 40 goal scorer. You just paid Tage 7mil + and we just got rid of a 9Mil player in Skinner that was, ironically a 40goal scorer at one time and we all know how that went. I would say he would have to be signed for somewhere between $7.3 – $7.9mil. If you go into 8mil…I dont know how the players that took less but produce more would feel about that.
