Jiri Kulich and J.J. Peterka each scored in the third period as the Buffalo Sabres erased a late deficit to defeat the Vancouver Canucks 3-2.

Hey Canucks thanks for the playoff spot 😉
Who was injured this game Canucks Nate?
Very unlike the Canucks. Not an OTL.
Canucks are too good to tank but not good enough for the playoffs.
Dahlin is asssss
VANLOSER CASUCKS AND COWTOWN LAMES, 2 TEAMS GOING ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE IN THE PLAYOFFS!
Back to your regularly scheduled Canucks 😅
Sabres are as soft as 2 ply toilet paper, seriously, I'm about done with this team. Trade Dahlin and Powers and get some real defensemen that can use the body and not continuously turn the puck over.
Done with this team. The season is obviously over. I'm not watching one more single minute of this pathetic group. I'm out.
VANLOSER CANUCKS once again play suck like hell defence and blueliner
Funny that despite all of the setbacks the Canucks have been in, they are still 1 point out of a wildcard spot. They should be blessed that they can still recover from this, but the clock is ticking.
Ooof 😅 Alright, this one hurts.
Hello Oilers fans by the way 👋 that must be satisfying for you; I’d feel the same way.
Alright I wish the internet wasn’t the best way to discuss the Canucks, but everyone around nowadays is either some boring Ontario d-bag who moved here cause they’ve never seen a F’n mountain, or some mountain biking pan$y who doesn’t like actual sports (like most guys nowadays), or some d0rk would rather play video games. Anyway
Can’t stop thinking about all the noise around this team, like most actual fans, and I just hope they don’t trade anyone.
They say you don’t realize what you have until it’s gone but I realize what we have with JT Miller and don’t want him to go! Many good reasons to argue for that:
– the Rangers are playing well enough again that they won’t feel they need to make a trade anymore. So the offering price for JT goes down, and no deal should happen. Unless it was something like Lafrenière and an unprotected 1st, with the hope that the Rangers don’t climb the standings, but they’d never do that.
– the Canucks struggled to score for YEARS. Heck there was an entire season where the only positive was Brock Boeser’s rookie season. Now you have TWO guys (not even Brock), one who put up 102 points two seasons ago and then 89 last year. Then JT Miller puts up 103 points last year, 82 and 99 the seasons before that. The fact that these are the 2 guys who don’t get along is beyond upsetting, but they’re Canucks under contract and you can’t trade one away for cents on the dollar. You just can’t.
– Winning solves everything, and as you can we the team/fans/media are living and dying by each win or loss. It is what it is and I’ve never been so nervous for a late January game against Buffalo haha but yeah it was for good reason.
– Canucks are healthy and just need some breathing space from said media and they’re going to roll everyone. Thatcher Demko is not a sub-.900 save percentage goaltender when he’s himself, so just give him some time. Losing your #1 goaltender, #1+2 defencemen, and #1 (arguably) forward for lengthy periods of time was of course going to lead to the team struggling. How could it not??
Just really hope they don’t trade anyone and let this team play. I’m hedging my emotions and expecting an Oilers win Thursday night, just cause they’ll be too fired up, and deserve some respect at home. I expect a loss but the team will be fine after that.
But I can’t wait until this team absolutely throttles the Oilers in 5 games in the 1st or 2nd round, and shows everyone what an overrated team you have.
But hey enjoy tonight and Thursday haha I won’t act like I don’t care, sports are a zero sum game and one team’s happiness is directly equal to everyone else’s despair haha.
Anyway I appreciate anyone who isn’t a millenial and actually took the time to read this, but I’ll never look at any replies so don’t bother because I don’t care what anyone thinks. This team’s stacked and finally healthy, and if they don’t get rid of a superstar for cheap they’ll be just fine.
as usual…Canucks playoffs hopes are cooked….and they won't tank enough to get great draft pick…they will, AS USUAL, be at the top of the worst list (just outside Wild Card to guarantee no chance at lottery draft) ….this organization is better than any other team in NHL History at perfectly screwing themselves every single year….is there an award for that?
So typical for almost 2yrs now. Win one against a top team then lose the next game and usually against an average or should be win for sure. Looks like its a win against the Oilers again ..hmm whens that Caps game? 1 or 2 games after the Oilers game? It determines already if its gonna be a win or loss
2 teams going nowhere, LETS GO LEAFS
Tell me why does a team on the 2nd half of a back to back look faster and more desperate than the team that had a freaking 2 day break… this Canucks team just continues to shoot themselves in the foot. Sabers were just allowed to shoot from the slot all game.
Thompson not being on team usa is CRRAZZZZZZZZYYYY
Somewhere in Oregon former GM Benning is having a hearty laugh. He's thinking to himself "they just had the one flukey season eh?" This team is doomed. As the man says, it's never boring.
Trade your top players for top prospects and draft picks ..This draft season has some amazing talent
If you can't beat a team like Buffalo on the second night of a back to back you're sh!@. The same thing almost all year they come out flat asf. Lets face it the Canucks aren't even close to a contender. Even if they do make the playoffs they will be a wildcard and get demolished by the top teams. The only way they stood a chance at beating the best is having an elite Demko. Well Demko is looking like dog sh@#. If he doesn't quit with the sad eyes and get some confidence back he's done. Not just with the team, but the NHL.
Rutherford, Patrick Alvin, owner, Canucks management make all hockey personal decisions, they constantly make the poorest decisions and very good at BS fans into thinking Stanley cup is right there for the taking, but truth is average players are payed very well , and tickets prices get jacket up
lol
Dahlin seemed intent on getting another 1st overall pick with his performance in the first 2 periods!
Going to be so funny watching the canucks miss the playoffs again. It'll be nice to not have to listen to the most obnoxious fanbase in the league, even if they'd only last 4 games against a playoff team
Wtf is Hronek thinking?
The Vancouver Canucks, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory since 1970!
I miss teams like the 82 Nucks. Minimal talent, but a BOAT LOAD OF HEART!
They didn't get to the finals on skill. They got there by never giving up on themselves.
Yes, they got slaughtered in the final, but they weren't even expected to be in the playoffs.
This group could learn a few things by watching some tapes of that old team.
This was a winnable game and they couldn’t get it done. This just isn’t our year.
when the game feels like a tryout on who gets to leave the Sabres you know you're done with the season.
Jiri Coolich
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 9:52
Didn't look at the attendance, but considering the Sabres current season's performance, and a decade+ of futility both on and off the ice, there appeared to be a decent amount of fans for a Tues night.
Tock needs to be fired asap he worthless right now
Vanpooper crynucks
